Up until this evening a part of me still thought the new jersey was a great joke, but I’ve finally realised it’s real.

The name is fine but the branding needs a lot of work. Just a quick Google comes up with much better logos.

Like him or loath him, he’s going all in is Derek and it’s refreshing to see some effort going in. There’s a good feel coming across on TV, much the same as last night.

I can't deny the effort made but I think it's very cringey.

Anyway, I'm hearing rumours a rugby match might take place at some stage in the evening.

Can anyone confirm?

Anyone think they're trying to up their game having seen the plaudits Channel 4 have been getting for their coverage?

They’re getting buy in from the clubs so I think it goes a lot deeper than that.

No one complaining about leopards now???😍

Just the shirt, mascot, website, terrible badge and ongoing Degsy ego trip all wrapped up in an awfully amateur hour launch.

This has been good tonight though and I’ve said so.

Be nice if matches kicked off at their proper time.

That’d be a marker of a sport getting the details right.

I mean you say that, but a lot of clubs have done this since 1996.

Its just new for leigh

I take your point, but this doesn’t happen most weeks so I think it deserves extra praise.

Nothing wrong with the clubs upping their game and being challenged

I think Sky have definitely been forced to up their game after the widespread praise that Channel 4 got last year. In both the game last night and this build up so far you can definitely see C4 influences and thats a good thing.

Just like the BBC had to improve when Sky started showing matches so Sky are having to up their game now that Channel 4 are showing matches

Just switched on and seen that Salford heritage kit in the flesh.

Nice! And I already liked the photos.
