Not yet. Powell arriving is dependent on the takeover that for months now has only been a week or so away actually going through.

Ok thanks, seems a bit disrespectful to the current coach though if he's still in the job .

Couldn’t agree more, it is a disgrace if that is the case and if Applegarth has any self respect he will walk out of the door, unless of course he is a party to it and wants to stay as assistant, nah, couldn’t do that.

It's not. You can cease being offended on his behalf.

Memories of John Pearman signing on all those star players back in 2000, before he actually took over.  😟

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

If course he could always recognise his strengths, appreciate the opportunity he’s had, have been treated respectfully and honest by his employer, and be happy to return to his previous career path. There’s always that option…

Apparently this site says I "won the day" here on 23rd Jan, 19th Jan, 9th Jan also 13th December, whatever any of that means. Anyway, 4 times in a few weeks? The forum must be going to the dogs - you people need to seriously up your game. Where's Dutoni when you need him?

I’ve read/heard numerous rumours that Wakefield won’t go down but Cas will…

Now I think it’s a load of codswallop, but its come from a few different sources.

What’s all that about?

Wakefield will go down, the only reason they would not go down would be if the Championship Grand Final winners chose not to take up their place in SL and under the new IMG rules that would be one of the stupidest decisions ever turning down a fee 1m+.

I think Powell is a cracking signing at Championship level but I imagine he didn't come cheap and you have to question the logic of splashing a lot of money on a coach where firstly results don't really matter and secondly presuming that Fev go up, even if Wakey keep only part of their squad it should be good enough to be in the top 2 or 3 with little effort.

McDermott is god awful as a coach. Felt soulless under that man at featherstone.

He wasn't the right appointment for us in hindsight. He didn't get any rapport with the fans. But whoever we would have got last season wouldn't have been able to topple Leigh. To say he is an awful coach after all the trophies he has won is pushing it a bit.

Ask Ryan Brierly what he thinks about him 😉
