Hull , especially Tony Smith, have been lucky on the injury front. They have a vague attempt to excuse this performance.

It won't wash though.

It seems Hull are carrying on from last term, common denominator Mr Smith?

I think Smith has been past his sell by date as a top end coach for a few years now. I don't think he has it in him to build much more than a mid table club these days. Probably more suited to a director of rugby role providing a sounding board to a younger coach

You couldn't make this many unforced errors if you tried. Woeful.

As my old History master who also ran the school rugby team used say, "JohnM, you're holding the ball like it was a greasy t**."

Ashworth has been our best player by a mile. Although the bar is very low.

Yeah i've been impressed with Ashworth, although i've rated him since his loan spell at Leigh back in early 2019 where he absolutely monstered the Toulouse pack almost single handedly. I was a little disappointed we didn't go in for him this year to be honest.

As McDermot used to say when commenting on Wigan games "its a bladder of lard".
