Its quite a trendy thing being done in the Premier League at the moment. A few away kits have different badges to the home.

I mentioned the Man Utd logo in my first post. That works for me. It's consistent with the branding. Had it been a completely different style of devil for example, it would have looked odd.

That second picture, I won't lie I don't even know what team that's supposed to be. I'm not a massive football follower these days, but can identify the badges fairly easily. No idea what that yellow house silhouette is supposed to be! Awful branding.

Widnes have down the same for last year and this. Traditional Town crest on home kit and vikings logo on away. Still not sure  how I feel about that

I don't mind that so much. There's something quite regal about seeing a coat of arms, and it's clear it's a nod to tradition rather than a rebrand or inconsistent. I used to like it when clubs used both logos on the shirt (think Leigh used to do it, and I know GB Lions did).

If they'd used the old Viking face, it would have looked ridiculous.

I think it's a bit harsh to say that when Manchester United do something, it shows how clever they are, but when London do the same thing it shows up how inept they are.

Both Broncos kits look decent to me, I think people will buy them.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Hopefully we go back to our old logo, never liked the new one.

It is strange as the away shirt does have the new badge on it as well, it's just at the bottom of the shirt instead.

A modern twist on the old logo would have been nice. Think it definitely needs to mention Broncos.

The current logo is the unfortunate leftover of the TERRIBLE re-rebrand effort back to Broncos that was them struggle to decide whether to revert back to the past or have a fresh start and just decided to do the worst of both worlds. That blue colour 🙈. At least they brought the colours back to a bit more traditional.

Personally, I think the Broncos should have kept the quarters from Quins (back to Broncos colours of course). They used to have them at times pre-Quins and it would have been a very unique identifier in rugby league whilst remaining somewhat traditional.

I mean if they'd just used the turret, I might have had a chance of making the link, but it really is a stretch to just have a random irregular pentagon and expect it to be recognisable! The colours don't even give you a clue! Terrible branding idea. File under B1N.

Yes, I was the same tbh. I assumed Everton but because of the sponsor rather than anything on that kit that told me it was an Everton kit.

The sponsor is where I got it from to be honest, then it made "sense", other than that I had no idea.

Sheffield Wednesday announced quite some time ago at the old 1970s style badge (which they should never have changed) will be being used on the 3rd kit next year. Was met with a massive clamour just to bring it back 100% (which has always been the case) but Mr Chansiri in his infinite wisdom doesn't like the fans so stuff 'em

A thing of beauty!

I had no idea they'd stopped using this. Whilst it's always looked a bit hunchbacked to me, and it's not quite as perfect as say the Wolves logo (or the GBRL lion), there are some clubs who should realise what amazing pieces of design they've got rather than reverting to a cruddy badge shape or dull town crest and Wednesday are one of them.

I mean you asked (sort of).....

Absolutely terrible... its the badge we apparently used in the 1930s (not sure myself as not many clubs wore the badges on the kit back then) but its just utterly woeful compared to the other owl.. as has been mentioned the old one is actually more digitally friendly and makes for good avatars on socials etc. Its the oddest choice to go away from it, even if you want to use this as the "official" crest of the club and the other one as the badge that would seem a more sensible way to go. But the one thing Chansiri seems to be known for (except being a canned fish baron with no actual money) is his utterly bizarre decision making.

It just smacks of changes for changes sake and people wanting to make their own mark.

Have we retained the spelling mistake on the crest for this year, do you know? 🙂

Wigans Vegas kit is different anyway. I actually quite like it:

Looks like it's sold out after just over a day on sale, seems Wigan hugely underestimated demand.

Along with making sure his own name was plastered on the seats and all available advertising space in the North, he's a little narcissistic if you ask me who seems intent on winding up the fans.
