Regardless of how it happened, KR up by 10 at the break feels a fair reflection of how the teams are performing.

Possibly but we need sharper and brighter pictures - other sports manage it but our tech hasn’t developed in 20 years.

One thing I would say is that I think what Sky show is is worse than what the VR sees. For example, when we watch the VR pics, it's grainy and blurred, yet when the try is awarded the go back to standard quality and it's often clearer than what we've been watching for 5 minutes!

Is Vaughan injured, very surprised he wasn't on the pitch earlier as the KR pack kept rolling over the defence.

I'd be perfectly comfortable with 6 tbh. Kr have dominated territory and possession, but haven't been too fluid in attack really. Wire have shifted the ball better and King and Ashton are getting some space. Before we then kick it dead and let KR go the length!

Thought Rovers pack was well on top in the first half

Ref's have to make educated guesses all game long.

Any try that goes to the VR is at least an "I am not sure" situation, no reason for the video ref to be bound by that initial guess. So many times I have listened to a video ref talk through a decision where you can hear they don't agree with the on field call but are reluctant to overrule it, they should be looking for the right decisions, not a reason to agree with a colleague.

I'm not a massive plan of that last play of us passing out to Tai to run into touch.

The optics were of arms under the ball as he got to the line.

Saying No Try on-field is how those sorts of things should be reffed. You then let the VR see whether there is any evidence of the ball on the try-line.

Wrong way around by the on-field ref. I think that might be the game.

The Laws of The Game say that a referee cannot disallow a try because he didn't see it grounded, the ref is giving his decision based on the laws. If he doesn't see it grounded he is obliged to give the attacker the benefit of the doubt.

From the notes on the scoring section of the laws.

Referee unsighted The Referee should not disallow a try because they were not in a position to see the grounding of the ball.

Garbage decision by Liam Moore. No way that he had a good enough view to send it up as a try. That push pressure on Jack Smith not to over rule. Moore should have sent it up as no try and then let Smith decide either way.

Exactly. Wrong way around by the on-field ref.

Before the prolonged look for the try 5 or 6 Warrington players were asking Moore why he had sent it up as a try.

I'm sure if he had sent it up as no try the KR players would have been asking him why.

Wire pack look like a bunch of schoolkids playing men. Also cant understand the hype regarding nicholson

I made the point after last week, I think our pack is off at the moment. We lack a leader, a bit too passive. They were outplayed by Saints pack, and HKR are a step above us too.

A fully fit Fitzgibbon is a big miss for our pack.

If the TJ gave it I assume Moore has to go with the call?

Unless he has clear vision to the contrary

I don't think so no one but the try scorer was close enough to see.

Thanks for that. Annoyingly helpful.

I almost tagged you i to this discussion, because I know you often quote this.

I do wonder whether this is relating to a clear put down of the ball where his view is obstructed rather than an incident where he is right there and can see the ball held up.

Otherwise, we would see more tries given on tackles over the line as they'd just have to give a try if he loses sight of the ball for a split second.
