I stopped counting when they had mentioned the WIgan match a dozen times in the first half.

I think Cartwright may do for FC what Madge did for us. For the first time in a long time you can tell what they are trying to do.

Decent game Wakey unlucky but pleased with our determination and defence.

Rugby Union the only game in the world were the spectators handle the ball more than the players.

FULL TIME: Despite injuries and having three tries chalked off, Wakeys 12-16 defeat by Hull can be softened by the fact that we dominated much of the first half and on another day would have won. Some good performance,I'm especially liking my first proper look at Rourke!

The first half was what I feared. We were slow out of the traps, the attacking cohesion just wasn't there. Throw in a couple of injuries and I really thought it was going to be a long night. But we rode our luck with a few disallowed tries (the one on half time in particular was fine imo), we stuck at it, and when a couple of opportunities arose we grabbed them.

We are a long way from being the finished article, but that's a big win. Wakefield played well tonight, and coming off the last couple of games we've had and then having the disruption of an early injury to Cust. Those are hard games to win. Really pleased.

Much like the HKR match, we perhaps should've won, but didn't quite have the smarts to do it. Hull FC strangled us out of the game second half and took the chances that presented themselves. Was disappointed with the Johnstone no try, normally in that scenario the ref signals for a try and asks to check offside, had he given the try on the field it would likely have been awarded.

It is a typical Hull FC performance. They will either hope for an interception or a couple of injuries and an opposition reshuffle.

Marginally better than last season, and will soon find themselves back in the bottom 4.

Did you mean the top three?

There seems a certain bitterness to your posts…why is that I wonder…

We threw that one away. Wrong side of the 50-50’s but in the main they were the correct calls, we just made too many mistakes. Fair play to Hull they hung in and took their chances. Reckon Ese’Ese must be the best prop in SL right now and Sezer controlled it off the back of him. We move on.

First time being at Belle Vue in a long time. Place just looks so much better than it used to. Far better match day experience. Great stuff, Wakey.

Need to sort out the errors Powel says.  We've known that for a full Championship season and another 5 SL games this year.  When you're ready Daryl. 🙄

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

I thought we were excellent tonight, agree with all posts tonight we've come along way and the match day experience was quality for everyone.

FC fans were great, we had a good crack with them in the pub pre-match - good lads.

Well done FC, hopefully next year we will learn from those errors and hopefully turn those narrow losses into wins 🤞

Ese'ese was the best prop in SL last year too. He's not doing anything that he didn't do last year, but he didn't get any recognition last year because Hull as a team were so pathetic.

Agree with most of the above posts and Esse did look good but I thought it was seazer again for Hull that made the difference. He looks totally different these days from the player he was last few years.

I know it sucks but I guess you have to think how would I feel if the boot was on the other foot. This will cost us the points I fear

All 3 correct decisions.

I think alot of it comes down to he's got a coach who he really likes and works well with. Some players are just a good fit in certain teams/systems. Cartwright has made him captain and said this is your team, go do what I know you can do, and he has picked it up and ran with it. He had a good first year with Huddersfield, but I'd say his current form is the best I've seen him play in this country.

Best team won for me.

Waki couldn't keep hold of ball 2nd half. Rain must of been bad.

Really fear for Waki if McMeeken gets injured he carry's the likes of Pitts & Rodwell

Not quite theory destroyed then Loiner. A win despite not being at our best.

Also, depends on what you class as a good side. Can we make the playoffs? Yes I think potentially we can. But we aren't going to be up there with the big dogs and even though the mood amongst Hull fans is great at the minute I don't think you'll find many getting carried away.

We were well beaten in the first half and lucky to be in it. Second half we did get more and more on top as it went on. I thought our superior fitness was perhaps the main reason we won in the end. That and a bit of luck.

We're a last 30 minute team. That appears to be when we do our best and that's how we've won the last 3 games and got a point against Leigh.

It's really weird to think how much 2-3 last minute goal kicks this season could have had us top of the league right now 🤣
