That simply isnt true John.

You dont ignore one thing because 5 things are problems. That is just bizarre.

The UK media will have a field day with this.

It will go unnoticed by almost everyone, just as it would if we won.

Any halfback is going to struggle with Hodgson at dummy half.

Yep. I'm not a fan of these dominant 9s. 7 should be your main man in my eyes. The rest of the spine play off them.

Yep, the one time we can be happy that the media ignores us 😆

The PNG Hunters are proving their worth!

The Fijian team playing in the NSW comp will hopefully have similar outcomes in 5 years.

About 40% of Us voted for a PNG win, so the upset was on the cards?

Juet shocked at how much PNG have dominated here. Immense passion, physicality, great support running and some clever kicking game.

GB look slow. The lack of pace on the backs cost at least 2 tries here. Above all the players in the second half have not looked all there. The try before half time changed the whole game and showed PNG this game was for the taking.

England next year will have to try different approaches and build a new side as they don't look dangerous enough at scoring tries against teams who can match them physically.

I have no faith in that happening under Bennett.

Maybe it's time for a UK team in the Qld Cup too.

Fortunately Widdop is playing in the SL next season so he'll be one of the forum favorites.

Nothing wrong imho with the Hastings' choice in last play, it's not his fault the defence hasn't worked, come on

As always, the order of blame will be:

1. Coach

2. Australians

3. NRL based players

4. The NRL somehow

5. SL based players in order of which club you hate most.

Agree but he can’t be blamed for people who can’t catch, have no passion, poor skill levels and who we as supporters rave about during the season (hodgson graham Lomax ) to name a few

Well he can, because those people have managed to catch, have passion and good skill levels all year. He can be blamed for a tedious, backwards game plan thats negated our players strengths, many players out of position, not changing half back combinations that blatantly weren't working, refusing to use the players that did play well, managing to make us worse in each and every 2nd half (his team talks must be a great cure for insomnia), picking a moronic unbalanced squad from the offset, talking rubbish after defeats... Need I go on?

Didn't the England knights win out here in the last 12 months?

Absolutely no leadership shown out on the pitch. For all the ###### tactics, the players arent covering themselves in glory

The strongest QLD Cup teams could defeat a few SL teams... so it’s a good training ground.

It’s always easy to criticise and not so easy to praise, but I honestly cannot find any positives for GB from any of the four games. I don’t know where GB, or England, goes from here.

The Hunter have been quite a shop window. People talk about PNG's lower-league players, but every year, you see more NRL and SL names on their team sheet. Then there's players like the excellent Laybutt, who spent some time at the Cowboys, but it didn't work out for him, but he's been worth scrutiny by an NRL side at least.

Not so, in my view. I always want my country to win. The damage to rugby league in the UK from a loss against PNG far outweighs the benefit of a PNG win. The UK media will have a field day with this. The wails against Bennet will increase in volume as certain fans on here want him to go the same way as tens of other unsuccessful  GB and England managers.

Changing the coach will achieve nothing if the real problems are not addressed.

GB limping home to a win wouldnt address the problem either

What should the 9 do, because there is no pure "hooking" role?

Hodgeson has been an excellent player in the NRL.

Tbf it wasn't a full PNG side either.
