I am a Swinton fan, growing up within 1/4 mile of Willows.

But I am so chuffed for the Reds, but now you have a 82 year history, since the last win to overcome. Salford 8 Barrow 2, 1938. & I have the programme.

You could argue the under dogs in both semis have won. For me though after their last couple of years Salford deserve to get the win in the final. He’s hoping they can.

I was always a Kevin Brown sceptic but Watson's got him playing like a world beater.

He's convinced him he's Darren Lockyer somehow, maybe he's a hypnotist...

I've spoken to someone who played alongside Watson and said he was desperate to learn from coaches, it was always obvious he was going to be a good coach.

Due to a series of tedious occurrences I missed all of the second half and failed to tape it. Bah! Well done Salford and give the game a boost by winning at Wembley.

That's the problem with modern rugby league. It's just the same old names over and over again.

Just caught up with that and I’ve no idea how that Greenwood try was awarded . He knocked on from one hand to the other then it hit the deck , then he put the other hand on it . That was a crucial call come the end

If I wanted to be picky, 1986 was the last time none of Leeds, Saints, Wigan or Warrington weren’t in the final.

It was definitely a try.

Made up for Salford. Watto is a brilliant coach and the players really turn up for him. Gutted that Salford fans (and me!) won't be able to go to Wembley but I'm sure they'll be right behind the team.

Just as well you don't want to be picky. I would have to stick my tongue out at you and neither of us want that.

So 10 years before SL, ergo not SLs fault ( I didn't say you said that ). Its nothing new.

Ian Watson will not be Salford coach in 2021, he was taught at Swinton, but will be stolen by Megabux RLFC

Maybe Megabux+ RUFC

First Old Trafford, now Wembley - seeing Salford in another major final is getting awfully samey. :kolobok_wink:

Here's hoping they go one better and win one.

Watson has got a system that suits Brown who has always been a good player albeit injury prone

Everybody seems very sure about their role in the team. Sign of a good coach.
