Seen this question posed on social media and it's a good one.

Has he been relieved of his duties with an after the fact announcement to be made at some point?

He hasn’t actually given an interview since the car crash one on Sky about the Academy decision

Hopefully still locked in a room at Red Hall despite them moving out a few weeks ago

Rimmer always looks like a farmer spending a day away from his tractor.

Who would relieve him of his duties?

The RFL board.

The only reason I can think of is that his position is now defunct.  The reconfiguration (call it what you will) between SLE and the RFL seems to have gone nowhere, well, only where SLE want it to and slowly at that.  If they are dictating the structure of the RFL must change to accommodate SLE ‘alignment’ aims/demands, then that might be the case.

I doubt it’ll be for workload or performance levels as none of the Board really have a high standard in that regard.

Was that to go with the big bag of manure he was already buying?

More likely he was trying to sell them manure, it seemed to be his speciality.

What do people want him to be doing right now?

Exactly.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

The person who keeps posing this question on Twitter has an anti everything RL agenda and seems to be an ex journalist who has fallen out with Martyn Sadler by the looks of some of their exchanges.

Rimmer on the day last week when the announcement from Aus/NZ that they were pulling out of the WC went to london to lobby to the Minister for sport to try to help with trying to resolve the situation.

True to form he caught the wrong train and finished up in Edinburgh.
