FT  ROVERS 56 Barrow  6

58 - 6 Fr

Got to be honest an amazing performance from Fev today, thought some of the rugby we played today was great despite having a number of players missing. Felt a bit sorry for Barrow having to come to Fev on a Friday evening after a short turnaround from Sunday and a big shout out to the fans who made the trip.

One thing I will also say is how well it was refereed today, nice to see a ref let the game flow.

Summed up perfectly imo.

Bulls 17 Fax 20 at full time, Fax losing Fairbank to a red after the 3rd tackle

That's a cracking win then even more so.

Lovely win for Fax. Even losing a player in the 1st minute Bradford is the sort of team on their home pitch that you still think you have a chance against just because of how they play and how narrow it is. And that's how it went, boring, predictable, and unfit was my assesment of Bradford as Fax still managed to dominate for long periods of the game despite been a player short. It would be no surprise if Kear goes in the next few days. Just no ambition with the ball and one of the strangest decisions Ive seen with Bradford 7 points in front mid second half and a penalty in front of the Fax posts with only their 2nd real venture to the Fax line in that half and they opt to go for 2 points. For me that was the turning point and probably gave Fax the impression that Bradford were out on their feet and it did turn out they were.

Lots of players missing for us due to injury, and miski, halsall and oneil back in the wigan squad so we dont have them either this weekend, be a tough game v york anyway though even harder for us now with the players we have missing, great news forward brad day is back after suspension though, hope we get the win though it will be tough, come on thunder!!

Cracking player, we (Leigh) lost him, Ben Crooks etc when Derek allowed players to leave before the end of the 2018 season. Well done Craig.

Well, well.... who would have thought it... good weather, dry pitch, and Fev put in their best performance of the season.

And there we were, thinking it was only Leigh that would improve with better conditions 🙂

Leigh and Fev are way superior to the rest of the league and as the grounds get firmer the one sided scorelines are only going to get wider.

The only consolation for supporters of other teams in the league is that they are going to see a lot more competitive games.

Batley, Panthers, fev, Leigh,  Broncos, York Haven

Think York get a big win to cement their playoff spot and Bradford and Widnes pulled right into pack.

Fax have to win.

Depends on team that runs out today from broncos- have all the makings player wise young mixed with old but some of the ‘so called experienced players’ do not actually have the games oversees to back up the hype! Playing representative rugby when you are one of a small number available makes it a bit of a non event but hopeful for a broncos win anyway

You’ve had lots of loanees haven’t you? Have you played with just your squad yet? Think the loanees cause more disruption and can’t do much for player morale imo

The Premier Sports programme schedule has the hosts for tomorrow evening's match down as 'Workhaven RLFC'.  Do they know something about a West Cumbrian club merger that the rest of us don't?!

Playing Whiteington aren't they ?

Stupid time to have the West Cumbria derby, 7pm on Easter Sunday when there’s no public transport between the 2 towns.

I’m not prejudiced, I hate everybody equally

Utterly ridiculous

Just watched the replay of the Fax sending off and cant understand why only one player saw red. Bradford player clearly strikes Fairbank to start it but is on his back and it seems Fairbank gets the red because he got the best punches in. Fair play to the ref though it helped make for a pretty even game. 😁

When the Eagles have Thackeray, QLT and Ben Jones-Bishop ticking they're going to be compettive against everybody except Leigh and Fev.

24-6 late in the second half to Eagles.

I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"
