The Transfer Rumour Mill Thread

We are playing towards a grand final in my eyes. Quite randomly we have been quite strategic in the transfer market. Thompson and Walker leave.  2 of our supposed big 3 signings. Frees up money. Only Gaskell, Holmes, Butler, Lawrence and Johnson signed till 2024

At this stage the Bulls are probably 5th best behind Toulouse, Fev, Batley and Fax. Really not sure why Bulls fans suddenly think that they are so good, after a few wins and a couple of injury prone past their best Wakey signings.

That wasn’t the proper Toulouse. Let’s see how the Bulls get on, on Saturday. Prepared to change my mind, if these Wakey lads turn them into world beaters.

Wasn't the proper Toulouse haha. Get out of here you clown.

In the last few weeks, we've signed two ex-NRL South Sea Islanders and Lee Gaskell. I don't know where all the money is coming from. Can't believe it's from Nigel Wood.

If you have watched the Gallows Pole, it may give you an idea as to how! 😉 The part where the Clothier is distracted is a clue!!

Let’s see what happens on Saturday in France when the Bulls play a TO team, with the majority of their best players back.

I expect Toulouse to win, they are at home and they are a good side. But Bradford beat them at Odsal too.

You can't just disregard that result because Toulouse had some injuries at the time. Bradford have injuries now so using your logic it won't be the 'proper' Bradford that play this weekend!

With all due respect I've never said we were so good. I'm a realist. Ive watched us with 1500 as Northern, 15000 as Bulls and will continue to wherever we play. All I said is we are targeting a Grand Final. Thats u told lol.

Weve taken 3 points out of 4 from the Blue Sox and currently above them on the ladder.  We might be 5th best behind Fev, Toulouse, Batley and Sheff, but certainly not behind the Blue Sox 😂

Only team that can beat Toulouse is Fev.

The only team that can beat Toulouse, is the team that lost to them at home two weeks ago? 🥴

Or was that not the 'proper' Fev either 😂

I think if Toulouse can keep their players fit and stay in this form, they'll be back in SL next season.

No excuses, best team on the day won and they are the favourites to go up. Like you say, a lot will depend on injuries, for instance, we lost Ford early on in that match, which was a major issue.

Well, well.... Fax 5th in the table, Northern 6th....

Who would have thought that!

I'm not gonna count the Bradford loss to Toulouse because I think with a full team Bradford go over there and smash them. So for me they are still the team most likely to get in to SL this season. Obviously for Fax its our worst season in a while and to be honest I see it as a total fluke that we are above Bradford at this point playing like we are and just shows how unlucky Bradford have been.

Not at all. 😉 I bought in to the hype before the start of the season and had them down for 1st or 2nd with the huge change in culture that they had and with signings that got their fans salavating at the mouth I'm quite simply amazed that they are only in 6th. I can only think of one or two things to blame for this as it can only be down to pure bad luck so can only be the pitch, injuries, Nigel Wood, Nobby, the previous coach who nobody can remember, the tea lady, Mick Gledhill, Bullman, Cow girl, that Paul Newlove song, Chris Caisley, Jordan Lilley. Other than that would defo be top 2.

There have been some rumblings about Sam Powell not getting along with Matt Peet. By all accounts this was a move that Wigan completed very quickly rather than one that has been on the cards for a while. Looks likely that Powell's time at Wigan will come to an end. Can't say I'm too disappointed. Leeming and O'Neill should be an excellent dummy half duo.

The Leeming deal is a bolt from the blue and some. I’ve not seen a single mention of it. I’d hoped we’d move for him before his move to Gold Coast, so it’s good to sort it now. It’ll be the end for Sam Powell you’d imagine  and that is a shame but it’s the right call.

Now we need a prop and a back rower (in addition to the rumoured signing of Walters) for 2024 and the side will be looking strong.
