ATLANTISMAN
Hello Fellow Lovers of League:) For those that are interested. I spent yesterday up in Toulouse and had a nice lunch with the commercial team main points that came out of it. * Confirmed will be full time next season * Will make 100% effort to get back up to SL and sign the players needed to keep them there next time * Disappointed with the season but learned much to be positive about * Confident that crowds will grow next season to average of 5000 + on the back of locals like a winning team new promotions etc * Big push marketing wise on social media (Already very impressive) special deal for students with one free beer on entry band entertainment etc (Suggested deal with bus company to run them back to and from campus) * Local sponsorship doing really well and expected to increase by around 30% next season All good stuff WELL DONE TOULOUSE:) Cheers Paul PS/Damm good lunch went easy as a 2 and half hour drive back home:) 39

Damien
Sounds good. I am still surprised they didn't make a bigger push to sign players, and earlier, this time around.

Didn't really go into that much as i am more interested in the commercial side, however they did mention that several players have signed new deals including Guy Armitage who i was not aware spent much of his childhood growing up in Nice. CiderWire
All positive. Any deals on the horizon with French TV broadcasters and/or more robust media coverage in general?

Archie Gordon
Crowds seem to be a key missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle for them. Able to do ok for play-offs but a massive struggle to gain much interest for run-of-the-mill fixtures at the Wallon. To be honest, we heard many of the same noises 12 months ago ...

sweaty craiq
That’s a cracking crowd growth strategy - put on free buses, give em free tickets and a Free beer when they enter the ground. Most grounds would be packed every week.

Nothing wrong with that as the corporates pay decent money we spend 1500 a match for the VIP at the Dragons (6 persons) and around 500 at Toulouse for 4 and are happy to pay it as many corporates are. Seems like it's now a custom for certain Leigh supporters to hijack EVERY and turn it to a pointless debate about something or other. #toxic

GUBRATS
Excellent news , hopefully their enthusiasm isn't diminished and they'll ' go ' again , if they earn the right they'll replace whoever finishes bottom of SL , no matter who that might be

There's no shame in being Wigan's best bus stop Apparently this site says I "won the day" here on 23rd Jan, 19th Jan, 9th Jan also 13th December, whatever any of that means. Anyway, 4 times in a few weeks? The forum must be going to the dogs - you people need to seriously up your game. Where's Dutoni when you need him? Bon pour Toulouse Bon pour the Championship Bon pour Rugby League. If the Game is to thrive, growth at places like Toulouse, Salford/Manchester, Newcastle, London and Birmingham, plus within rest of the French heartland (is there such a word or phrase in French?) is necessary.
