You thought that after 7 years of planning that opening ceremony was acceptable? Technical glitches are much less likely to happen when you bring in the right experts. Even before the glitches I could not even hear the Kaiser Chiefs properly.

Absolute mess from the organisers. A ball boy has just slipped. You'd think that after 7 years of practice, risk assessment, training etc, such an embarrassing thing would not have happened.

I hope the game itself delivers, because the event has been catastrophic so far. I mean, the opening ceremony was a disaster, though you could argue that a PA malfunction is bad luck. But not having balls ready for kickoffs is just amateur.

They were due to play 2 songs, but the PA system going down meant they couldn't do the second one.
