Yeah I didn’t understand it either. Would be interested to know what he meant

Unhappy with the result and interviewed in the heat of the moment - that's my guess.

French ref will gain this extra coverage. Now we'v e won it's funny too.

West Germany said the same about the Russian linesman in 1966 too, I'm sure.

Was it not just tagged on by the PDRL and not officially part of the competition.

Dunno but they are world cup winners and should be lauded for it.

Plus they were bloody good.

Rugby Union the only game in the world were the spectators handle the ball more than the players.

I agree, but the lack of push on official channels is it wasn't official. No budget. Should they have found something, yes.

Is this sport played nation wide or just in the heartlands. I am just wondering if the RU boys have their own version .

Wouldn’t be the same spectacle. To me to you

sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward

It's a fair point by the French coach, made before the final, that concentrating on the big hits may dissuade the participation boost that the game wants. Some of the commentary from running rugby players saying they would be too scared to play probably hasn't helped. Those with limited movement or strength might think they couldn't play, so equal coverage of the skill, the togetherness and the teamwork is something that the game deserves.

Couple of the England players are from London Roosters. Argonauts Skeleton Army from Kent have been in several finals.

I blame Specsavers for the officiating. I found this on the web from a customer:

"Specsaver tell me they have recently changed their policy and will not post the new glasses to France".

It takes wisdom to know when a discussion has run its course.

It takes reasonableness to end that discussion.

I heard they did - but it was more akin to normal RU and so was a dogs breakfast that didn't work.

Much like RU then.

A few decent sides in Kent aren't there, Medway and Gravesend off the top of my head.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.
