HomeBargins is a good sponsor, they have a big turnover every year and last season they gave out match tickets to their staff for some of the Saints matches.

I have no problem with Home Bargains as a business....I have used the one in Bedford . I am not a snob

But it's a retailer that specialises in being as cheap as possible. That's it's brand. It's in the brands name

This brand/ethos then gets associated with the RL through our champions .....this feeds/ enforces the (wrong) stereotype of our sport to outsiders

Maybe it's not a massive deal. I'd just prefer our champions to be sponsoring by someone like ASUS or a building society  or something

Wakefield have ASUS which I like but I always presume that the bigger the name the lower the cash input.

Saints must be on right whack to carry the HomeBargains label though.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

Never thought that a 'better' sponsor pays less....always assumed it was fixed price for any club to decide

I might be wrong, but I think Featherstone were the first Club to have a shirt sponsor, which was Linpac. Here is Paul Lyman in one of the classic Umbro shirts.

So many nationally well known sponsors in the past, and so few now.

That would certainly be a marker of success for IMG to bring that level of sponsor into the fold.

Although SRD turned this sponsorship down the £RedHot£ porno offer was a huge amount of readies. I'm sure it would have blown other iconic sponsors out of the water on this thread. The sum involved and turned down at a time neither the RFL nor SRD were in a position to be too choosy. But they were.

My Catalans replica shirt of a few seasons ago is a reminder of how supportive to sport the public sector often is across the channel.  The main shirt sponsor is La Region de Languedoc-Roussillon, with a smaller contribution from Le Mairie de Perpignan.

Oldham had XXXX in the early 90s think they helped fund Bob Lindner's signing.

In the 80s they had Seddon Atkinson trucks, the logo was a capital A in a circle the team entered the field to the A team theme music.

As a bit of a commercial vehicle (especially buses) nerd, it always struck as odd that, although the Seddon-Atkinson merger seemed more like a takeover by the former, it was the logo of the latter that was subsequently used prominently.

Milk is unsurpassed. Also enjoyed Video-ezy, and Power from those 90s Ozzy jerseys. Linpac is a classic (don't think anyone has mentioned yet that it was the first shirt sponsor in the UK). Good memories of the Hull Shopacheck, Greenhalls and ICI. Batley's Fox's Biscuits is pretty iconic for RL sponsors.

A quick search says it's an adult entertainment place in Leeds.

I assume it's darts, snooker and cards right?

I would be very careful with the darts and the snooker cue in that particular club

The wonderful Coventry Bears had a good relationship with a local McDonalds franchisee, and also a car dealership sponsor them.

The result was the McDonalds, BMW and MINI logos on their shirts.

That is 3 of the UKs top 20 brands on one shirt. Unbeatable ?!?

Crusaders always seem to manage to come up with a sponsor that fits the shirt 'image' ...Wrexham Glyndwr uni and the Wrexham Lager Co ...

Unlike Keighley that were original due to have a massive cartoon chicken emblazoned over the front of the jersey this time  , before someone finally saw sense and came up with a slightly more refined sponsors logo ..👀👀👀
