Wakefield gave up after the third try by the looks of it. Poor quality game all round but Leigh took some chances and then were able to have Asiata and Ipape watch the last 20 minutes.

I know we’ve been warned by various Wakefield fans on here, but was shocked at how poor Wakefield were. First half, we struggled to get away from our own line at times, but never looked like conceding.

Relegate them now, they've spent too long just winning more games than the promoted team.

That's factually incorrect.       Must be quite some time since that occurred if it ever has?

Nearest recent was 2019 when we beat  London in last game of season to end up 2 points clear of them  but also above Shudds and HKR.  Had we lost HKR would probably have been relegated on points difference, but we didn't.

Glad we won, was worried about today, Leigh looked very tired to start the game which was worrying and I feared the worst. We bombed chance offer chance until we finally scored through some O’Brien magic, from that point we grew into the game and  never looked like losing after that, we still just can’t control the game and keep pressure on without making silly frustrating mistakes.

Second half for all Wakefields endeavour was one way traffic, as soon as our confidence started to grow we were breaking the line at will. Wakefield threw the ball around well but mainly side to side with no real pace. Lino is really trying but their attack is pedestrian as a soon as it hits the fullback/centre. We did to Wakefield what Wigan did to us 2 weeks ago, when your on the front foot things just seem to go you’re way and the ball seems to bounce more favourably.

Asiata, Lam, Charnley, ODonnell, Mulhearn and O’Brien all exceptional today, Ipape very quiet. Sumanafagui was blowing after 10 mins and needs to improve dramatically.

As weird as it is, we absolutely battered Leigh in the forwards first half making yards for fun a limiting Leigh to their 30. Trouble is with the excellent field position we had absolutely no idea what to do with it and were incredibly easy to defend against. Leigh soaked it up comfortably then went down the other end, scored two tries and it was game over.

Pretty much accurate, 2 SL journeys so far in a 360 mile round trip and still yet to see us score. Can't fault the lads for effort, just not good enough. We're saying the same time and time again week after week. Some angry fans today, don't understand what they are expecting from this lot. Just get into your heads, we need more than a miracle from this lot. Credit to Leigh brought an excellent following and scored some great tries.

The Trinity v Wigan thread will be real fun next week can't wait to read the posts after that game.

It won't because Wigan are an established top SL side and not just promoted from the Championship. It's not long since you put seventy past them at Belle Vue Those days seem far off now.

Congratulations to Leigh, staying up as the promoted side must one of the toughest things a club can do in SL, but it looks nailed on now.

Leigh didn't say that well, they didn't have too,  wakey are worse team I have ever seen in SL even worse than us the last 2 times we have been in, full credit to the wakey fans that are turning up to watch that.

It's always difficult to compare , Wakey have some quality players , but overall aren't good enough , not really sure what they can do about it

Mate we're awful, we have a team full of grafters but only Lino with any spark and he spends his time running round like a headless chicken.  The only time we broke your line was a a biazare last tackle play that ended up with Ashurst kicking the ball over to the right, a complete fluke. If we were still playing now I doubt we'd have scored, and your guys left the stadium 2 hours ago.

RL is a momentum game , get it and you can beat anybody , lose it and everything you do will go wrong , Wakey have not long to find it

We had momentum in that first half, we didn't know what to do with it. Trust me it's not coming, we don't have the players, we don't have the structure, we don't have the revenue and the support will wane as this absolute horror show continues.
