Battle of the 2 underdelivering coaches, think Leeds will win this one though. They can't possibly play as bad as they did against Cas and Wakey and Leeds bipolar form says they're probably due a good performance this week

We're due a win over there, we've been unlucky losing 18-17, 18-14, Drawing 20-20, losing 18-12, 13-12, and 26-27 in our most recent visits, usually through them getting the rub of the green or the blow of a whistle at the right time.

Strong squad named, Lolohea is still in but Connor is out completely, that won't really come as a surprise to any Fartowner this year, Jerry is back in the squad too which is a huge boost.

I'd like to think we'll smash them as they are bad at the moment but they were last year and still we couldn't beat them at their place.

Still i'm going for a rare Giants win by 8 points, hope there aren't many video ref decisions as we won't see them on that stupidly positioned screen.

Will it be the usual backsides fall out as soon as Leeds get decisions go for them or will be be strong enough to stand up to them this time?

Reckon it'll be another close(frustrating) one.

I'm a Rhino but have a close connection with Hudds so this fixture is always a hard one what is your take on how this season has panned out so far from a Hudds pov? I'm bewildered because I really thought you'd be in the mix.

I never really have any high expectations for the start of the season but obviously others do.

My take on it is that we have gone away from what we were doing well last year, either by methods or personnel, I think the recruitment has been a bit off, signing Connor, good player though he is has somewhat upset the balance of the team, we really needed 2 quality replacements for Leutele and Levi but we've basically brought in a number of squad players.

Added to that, we've had injuries to both our key halves in Fages and Russell and Tui was unfit at the start of the season and he's not been the same player.

I also don't think the effort levels are what they were last year either, we still have the experience and quality in the side in Naiqama, McGillvary, Cudjoe, McQueen etc but not the same dynamics.

I'm hoping it will start to improve soon.

Just on those 4, is this not part of the Giants problem - aren't they all 35?

Is the Squad balance at the giants an issue? Personally I thought they would go OK this year but I'm not a huge fan of Ian Watson's style of Rugby and he seems to not have recruited to suit his style.

On this game - who knows but they always seem to be close games, I think it will be a bit of a nervy game as both sides really need a win, don't think either sides will be parting with their coaches however much people seem to be building it up that way.

The two sides a very similar regarding the issues, may the best team win on the day! Cheers

Those 4 are probably 4 of our most consistent, hard working and energetic players so I don't think they are the problem.

Balance could be an issue, again, I don't think Connor was really needed and it's not become an issue trying to fit him in.

After Hull's win tonight then we need to win to avoid being cut off with Cas and Wakefield.

Watson's style is based on hard work and lots of energy and doing the same, mundane things repeatedly, we aren't doing it as well this year.

That’s kind of my point, your 4 most consistent and energetic players are 35 and won’t be around for much longer.

And your last point is what I mean about Watsons style, it’s not a style I enjoy watching.

Anyway I can well see a Giants win tonight, hope it’s a good game.

St Helens play the same way, doing the same things repeatedly at a high rate, they just do it better, or they did!
