Under these new rules on high contact, I think that should be a sending-off.

Donaldson's feet were coming off the ground. It was forceful and straight to the head.

Obviously you don't want to see people marched, but I don't think they really implemented the protocols in judging that one.

The problem you have is by looking for mitigation, you aren't balancing it by looking for aggravating factors like him springing up and rising into the tackle.

The disciplinary will consider that and it's very likely he'll get a ban.

And if he does he deserves it

I do like the system another sport uses for cases like this. They would simply have binned him and had a video ref review it for up to 10 minutes to decide if it becomes red.

Agree. It let's you get on with the game and then let's the VR have the space to get it right

Yep. You can decide it's a yellow within one or two replays, to progress to red you usually need a few more looks, take those while the game plays on.

And can we have a shot clock for penalties and conversions, as well.

The pitch is going to have a major say here if Rovers capitalise on that Newman slip.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

Don't we have that?

I can't really remember what we have shot clocks for now!

Doesn't feel right when a right decision isn't arrived at within a game. Player being on the pitch can change the game, but what if the player scores or makes try-saving tackle while awaiting a review?

We have a time limit before the ref stops the click, but not a limit on the time that can be taken.
