Leeds have played well, very good defensively

Effective in defence certainly, and exploited Catalansdill-discipline very well, though both Bentley and Newman very luckly to remain on the pitch, Newman in particular sceaming obscenities at the ref on more than one occasion as if he were on a night out in Leeds city centre. Appaling individual who in Jim Mills and Mike Nicholas days would have enjoyed some correctional attention.

A two-handed shove as Bentley is playing the ball though.

It clearly should have been a penalty.

You are right.

However, even his coach doesn't like his messing about. Unfortunately, if the mask fits, he is going to have to wear it.

Abdull literally places both his shoulders on Bentley and shoves him as he's playing the ball. The ref looks the other way just so he can get in a jibe about diving in soccer.

Abdull then shoves Bentley into the hoarding.

Two silly and unnecessary involvements from the lumbering pivot.

Some people seem to lose their ability for rational thought when it comes to Bentley. The shove was an obvious penalty.

Leeds coach Smith doesn't see anything wrong with Bentley elbowing someone in the head whilst on the ground 🤷‍♂️

Really?

I suppose it explains some of his players' behaviour at times?

I think if he watches that back he'll probably wish he hadn't said that.

A great young player but to me he comes across as a deeply unpleasant character

I initially read that as ''colorectal attention'', and though 'Wow'!

He strikes me as a coach with hackles up and using tunnel vision.

I'm genuinely interested. How do you put both shoulders on someone who's standing to any degree without it also involving facial contact?

I didn't think that Croft had been signed as a defensive stand off, we have seen him being very prominent on offence in the last two years, this system of Smith's does his game no favours.

Nonsense, croft was the best player on the pitch

I do wonder if some people have got a clue about the game sometimes.

Sorry, I was typing quickly while watching the game.

I obviously meant to say that Abdull placed both his hands on Bentley's shoulders and pushed him over. It came out a bit garbled, haha.

Still, it should have been a penalty for Leeds.

Just finished rewatching, cracker of a game, really enjoyed it.

Really strong performance from Leeds.

Newman definitely MOM, he was superb. So was Croft. Also good performances from Both wingers Handley and Roberts.

For Catalans Da Costa looked superb and I was also impressed with Dezaria, Satae and Sims.

Poor old Rouge - how are Abdull and Da Costa in front of him?

Abdull desperately needs to lose weight, hopefully the Leeds fans give him some motivation. Really offers nothing in the running department, he is incredibly slow and has no agility whatsoever. Rougé desperately needs a turn at 7.

It's weird isn't it?....he was the same at London

He could have gone from being a decent SL player with a boot to something more special .....all he had to do / has to do is drop a stone and a bit of weight ....weird he can't commit to it

One for Leeds supporters. In the games i have seen on TV Martin has looked very quiet and not the player i have seen in previous seasons. Is he carrying an injury or now playing a different role in the team?.Always rated him  as he was often involved.
