I always thought you were the kind of guy that would still be 'taping' things, rather than recording 😉

Cut it how you like.

Triple header is meat raffle budget thinking. Shoving an international, or even two internationals, on a day when the main selling point has been a domestic second tier club game is revealing about priorities and planning.

Absolutely, triple headers are another part of our awful "stack em high sell em low" "strategy"

Penalty against Wilson for over-zealous kick pressure.

France could do with getting one back before HT.

BBC are doing Live text so you don;t have to 🙂

I'm sorry but it's a bit unreasonable to click on a link discussing the England vs France RL match and not expect to get updates on the Italy vs Switzerland football match.

It's your own fault really.

Sorry if it was annoying to anyone. I guess I was excited for this match thread.

Whoever signed off on this should be typing up their resignation letter, ready to hand it in on Monday morning.

Time to give the job of administrating the whole game to IMG.

Maybe not. But if there wasn't an International at all, folk would be raging about that.

I don't think just accepting embarrassing scraps is in any way positive.

I won’t tell you the score but don’t bother watching it there isn’t anymore goals.

As usual, the game itself is fine but everything else around this fixture is a disaster. No-one is there.

That France shirt is absolutely stunning though.

The problem is that we have dropped even lower than internationals being underwhelming, or disappointing, or below potential, to being actively harmful to the sport.

I wouldn't blame anyone seeing this from being put off buying tickets to the Samoa series.

What successes have IMG brought to bring you to that conclusion?

I suspect it's only hard core fans watching this unfortunately. Surely hard core fans will be supporting internationals and if not don't complain the international scene is poor.

France go back down the short side with a series of short passes that end up in touch.

Last one looked to come off the England player's forearm, but ruled not to have touched him.

Huh? Are you suggesting England should have travelled in their thousands over for this game?

There's a saying in life, either do something properly, or don't do it at all. This fixture and the one at Warrington last year is actually doing more harm to the international game than good.

We had the international game right around 2008-2013. Two strong world cups, four nations in the southern hemisphere and then the northern, that exposed a developing nation to elite internationals, help them develop and improve without hindering the international game. The fact we threw that away makes me so disheartened over international RL, when it should be the pinnacle of our sport. Now we are in a situation where we're scrabbling around looking for nations to play us and wondering why we're playing in empty stadiums
