It would mean alot to me to see Trinity win at Post Office Rd. Been 5 times and each time we lost by less than 6pts going back to the mid 90's. Went to the CC game this season but missed the b***dy league match typical lol 🫣

Going back to the 50' and 60's Wakefield won at Fev nearly every season and Fev won more at Wakefield then at home.

Well all I can say it is a pity you missed the last match Trin played at Fev, because Trin won. Who knows with all this IMG stuff, it may be a long time before Trin visit Fev again

I know the challenge Cup game was one to forget, with the field a mud bath made playing terrible. We may have lost heavily on Saturday but quickly skipping through the match on yt it does appear we gave it a shot but again disapline & errors cost us...trust us to get Toulouse in France in 35+ degrees temperature don't think that helped, especially with those cold baths installed recently not great to climatise for playing in a heat wave lol

Can I just ask if and I mean a big if we get to the Championship Final I assume its at Manchester on the same day as the SL grand final?? Need to get saving for then, mind we've alot to work on from now til then.

The Championship final has been played at the ground of the highest finishing team.Last season London had to play in Toulouse who finished 2nd in the league having beaten Sheffield away and Fev away who won the division by 12 clear points but London outplayed them in the semi.

Same day and venue as SL  ? Where have you been ? It hasn't been at same  venue for years, SL don't give a stuff about the Championship. It will be at Wakefield so you don't have to start saving up. 😃 .

Cheers guys that's a shame then, thought it would be a similar day out like Wembley format with the 1895 Cup afterwords etc never been to a grand final but do remember watching Toronto v Featherstone final a few years back so should have known. Well with the price of the trains these days, that might be my next game if we get there 🤞

Under the IMG  system winning the league and Final have very little impact on the points score.

Those 0.25 points might prove crucial.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

No they won't. IMG/RFL will just alter the system to get the club/clubs they want into SL.

Seriously - have you been living on Mars for the last 30 years?

The last Championship Final that Trinity played in wasn't at Old Trafford. Before that, second tier games at Old Trafford didn't win you promotion.

Such a shame that someone has to go down with Dewsbury this season, none of them deserve to go into the farce that’s League One.

Ive said this long before my team was in relegation danger that dropping the number of teams in the Championship is a disgrace. After this season we would have been left with at least 13 competitive teams presuming Wakey swap with London as expected which would leave Dewsbury who are clearly not competitive been replaced by likely Oldham who have some money to spend. Instead we could potentially see 3 teams relegated and with the lack of money in that division it could set them back years if not killing them.

Wakefield's last final was against Featherstone at Huddersfield. There has never been a SL / Championship final double header.

Been extremely hard for Donny over the years and these wins mean a lot to their loyal fans.

Yes this is it, it's true Dons fans are probably making a bit more of the win on Saturday than they probably should considering where both the clubs are at this specific moment. But we still see the like of Featherstone, Widnes etc as big names in the game and not places we have ever won regularly, so it feels significant when we do. If I say to non Rugby League fans "we won away at Featherstone on Saturday" they know what that means as it's a club they know

Never missed a Trinity game upto 1997 missed 98 First Division final which was at a neutral venue (Huddersfield) not Belle Vue!! then moved to Scotland that year. Fell away from the sport apart from playing with Edinburgh Eagles Sunday but spent majority watching my football team during SL absence. Son was born in 2017 and my team got demoted from Scottish League 2 years later so lost interest in soccer also its got right soft/boring as you know now. So RL is my no 1....but apart from all this rabbiting on I still think it should be played at a neutral venue. Wembley was a special occasion at the 1895 final, twenty odd buses and you could see what it meant to the fans, holding the final at your own ground takes abit of the magic off IMHO.

Anyway that's me finished rabbiting lol

Does that include Rugby Union games or is it just from 1895?😉

The best answer he could have given to that was Super League 😀
