You said in a post on the haven forum town putting feelers out for investment is us feeling the pinch, where you got that utter nonsense from.

From an ex player like I also said on the post, I also said that semi-pro rugby is looking bleak in West Cumbria which it will be if it's true, which I hope it isn't.

Haven only need to be able to service those debts. They have to repay them if they are called in by whoever holds them. Let's hope that doesn't happen. RL in west Cumbria needs both clubs IMO.

I might want my money back if I’d lent it to someone

Can’t imagine it’s all soft debt, and most of the new directors which have been announced are the ones responsible for overspending over the last few seasons anyway!

anyway, good luck to them, at least we will have the local derbies next season which will create a bit of interest

I think everyone got loans off the rfl in 2020 and 21 to cover wages for the covid season and the season played behind closed doors for a big chunk of it

Love the neutral fan name. Your Haven through and through 😂

It is sad but not unexpected. It has suffered from years now of poor management. No one with any forward vision and just reacting to situations. That many bridges have been burnt because of arrogant attitudes it’s unbelievable. I’m afraid you reap what you sow. They do absolutely nothing to attract anyone. It’s embarrassing and that is from a die hard Whitehaven supporter. I’ll continue paying my money and going to games until the gates close. That hurts me a lot to say that on this forum but until there is a clean out at boardroom level and people in the background I’m afraid the gates will close. Gloat away those who want to but be careful what you wish for.

I haven’t seen anyone gloating on here, I’m sure that wouldn’t be the case if the shoe was on the other foot. Best of luck today.

Good win for Haven today with final minute try and only 16 men.

Thought Jordan Weir was going to blow a gasket at the end, but great to listen to a commentator who loves his club.

I miss John Cox , true impartiality …

Coach gone and Other results not gone their way today either. Looking very bleak up the road now.

Told only about 800 through turnstiles so winning pay and poor attendance isn't helping their piggy bank account.

150 free tickets donated by cloud competitions today, not sure if they were included in the 800 or not?

Not by the time they’ve paid the VAT, PAYE, pensions, then there’s stadium rent, doctor, coaching staff, security etc - I’m amazed how any club survives at championship and league 1 level on crowds of less than 1500.

once again it shows what a great job our own BOD have made in increasing non-match day income

Been watching highlights on YouTube of the 1990-91 second division season , and it came to Haven v Swinton and the narrator said ‘ Whitehaven’s season was blighted by financial uncertainty ! ‘

Regardless of what we think of Haven as Town fans  , you just have to look at the table to see whoever goes down will be unlucky as they are all a mile clear of Dewsbury . I hope personally both Barrow and Haven stay up .

Neutralfan7 is on their forum questioning someone as to whether they are a real Haven fan, this after spending over a year on here pretending (really badly) to be "neutral".....oh the irony 😅

I see they’ve appointed Kyle Amor as coach. That was quick, almost as if he was already lined up prior to Jonty resigning and making his position untenable……

They’ve announced that, but there isn’t one word from the club thanking Jonty for his efforts over the last 6 years. I find that unbelievable, especially given the circumstances he’s been operating in over the last couple of years, plus when you see the comments from fans and players who obviously had huge respect for him. Surely some comment before announcing their next coach would have been the decent thing to do.

Jonty told the players before the game that he was quitting yesterday - they already knew he was going at the end of the season. Supporters in The Haven Sponsors Lounge were told by the acting CEO after the game.  Supporters in the other bars had already heard the rumour who the new coach would be therefore those that actually attended the game and stayed back for a drink were very well informed. Just wish those that post on here and dont go to games would support their team (either Town or Haven) through the gates by paying to attend.

Has Kyle Amor got any coaching experience?
