Leeds well worth the 8:0 advantage as HT approaches.

Wigan very lethargic, Leeds quite energetic in defence but wasteful with the ball in hand. Despite the pressure we had we weren't really putting on any sort of play that would really trouble Leeds. Very much going through the motions. This is one of those games where any team that sorts of their errors could win comfortably.

On another note, do the Sky commentary team have any awareness of who the players are? There was never any chance Eckersley was brought on to play in the halves.

Does this game prove you can’t play catch up after appearing in an extra midweek game?

No doubt Leigh will disprove this theory tomorrow.

Hampshire subbed 36 minutes too late.

He has as much ability for playing rugby as a sea-urchin.

I did wonder about Wigan signing him, not their sort of player at all.

He's paying Wigan to play.

Why Wigan signed him again and why they have since kept him on is one of life's great mysteries. Kids coming through would do a better job.

Did the ref penalise a late hit off keighran a set early?

Before this period of 3 games in 10 days I was wondering what Matt Peet would do in terms of squad rotation. I think not rotating the squad has come back to bite us. I'm baffled that none of our established players (bar Field who wasn't fit enough to play all 3 anyway) have been rested for this period. Everything about this performance has been lethargic.

Big turnaround by Leeds in just a few weeks under Arthur. More direct in attack and defence, doing things with purpose and a plan. Sometimes you do just get the bounce of the ball.

Maybe it's just catching Wigan at a good time, but it's still a good statement. Magic Weekend and the following 3 games are a big opportunity for 6 more points. It may still be that the damage for this season's prospects has been done.
