Whilst we aren't going down regardless, we still desperately need to avoid the ignominy of finishing last. A win here would probably do it, but I'm not nearly as confident as I would have been if this game was taking place a month ago. We are decimated, and London have played really well in the last few games.

I've gone for an FC win but it might be a bit squeaky bum stuff for the Hull faithful.

If we can replicate the performances we put in again Wigan, Warrington, even in the Derby, we will win comfortably. But the team just has such a makeshift look about it now. Our spine consists of 18 year olds playing full back and scrum half, a stand off playing out of position, and god knows who will play 13. Hooking will shared by Smith and Balmforth, an average utility player and a 20 year old.

That's not to mention all the other kids scattered across the other positions.

To suggest this has become anything other than a transition season for FC is a just misguided. Those lads putting a valiant shift in every week deserve high praise regardless of results. It makes you wonder why everything went so toxic so rapidly under Tony Smith.

Indeed it does.

I think we'll come second on Saturday, as has been hinted above, we are struggling and London ain't been doing too bad of late.

A London win and they may avoid finishing bottom, but be relegated and replaced by a team who doesn't win the Championship Grand Final.

Yeah, we get it..

I'm struggling to understand why this would be a great game under automatic P&R but not this Saturday. As has been mentioned you've got two relatively close-matched teams here - one well-coached but low in quality, the other who have been a bit of a basketcase but have a bit more quality and experience - and nobody's quite sure how it will go and both teams will be desperate to win. So where's the evidence this game will be worse than an equivalent fixture last year would have been?

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Agreed. You might not have quite the same jeopardy as if relegation was at stake, and therefore peoplewont be as invested in it as they might have been. But both teams will still be desperate to avoid finishing bottom regardless. The product on the field will be just the same either way.

I'm excited for this game, but from what I have read on various platforms I am not allowed to be excited for this, as IMG has killed the excitment apparently.
