jamescolin Posted November 3 Posted November 3 I am 90. Lost my 300 pound fuel allowance, my car insurance has gone up a large amount, hoped there would be some increased concession for older supporters. Older people are feeling the pinch. I have supported since 1938 and will scrat together the amount quoted if I can.
jamescolin Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Dont booze or smoke. Havent had a holiday this year either.

At the end of the day the club simply can't let folk in for nothing ,£20 is a decent price these days,if we want a decent team it has to be paid for. You don't smoke or drink you need some enjoyment ( hopefully lol). Edited November 3 by Fevrover 2
jamescolin Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Wasn't looking at coming in for nothing. Was hoping that the season ticket would be reduced to its former price of £150. I will continue to enjoy life. Have a daily walk and use my brain at numerous times. Still fairly active on a volunteer basis. I still give people advice and help. I was just pointing out that the conceesions were for new possible supporters, I simply asked if we older ones were given any thought. When you think of what we have done in the past, raising money, improving the ground, doing various things at game time, that some consideration would be given to older supporters.

Going back to £150 season tickets save the supporter £20, the players won't want to go back to reduced wages ( yer can bet many wages have been reduced). I've done many many things to help out at Rovers and didn't expect anything back because I volunteered to do it . Anyway hope you can still get to the games and enjoy them hopefully. jamescolin Posted November 3 Posted November 3 All my efforts were volunteered. I raised over a £1000 for the Rovers with my efforts. I will continue to help if needed. My thoughts were not just for myself but for other pensioners who are having hard times, but want to continue supporting. 1

Especially those who are also contributing to the Squadbuilder. If any of those were to walk away the club could lose at least an extra £120 on top.
Monkeymagic22 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Thought that we might have had some news today, but seems to be very quiet.

Most of our signings (and indeed those of most clubs) are announced in the evening. The Phantom Horseman Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Keeping Reynolds was essential given how well he played overall when he returned to us and also how difficult it is to get quality half backs at this level, and as we all know he's as good a kicker as there is around, including in SL. I think he might have had a bit of a "grass is greener" moment when he went to HKR/Hull because his commitment was terrific when he returned. Hopefully he'll be in the same form in 2025. 4 "I won’t engage in a debate because the above is correct and if anything else is stated to the contrary it’s incorrect."

He's our best player and one of the most influential on the field. Great goal kicker. 2 https://www.fevarchive.co.uk/
Squidward Posted November 4 Posted November 4 100% It's a fantastic resigning. Although I can't attend all games this signing and the incentive to bring in 2 under 16's with your season ticket has sold it to me. Great stuff. 1
RobLambert Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Great signing and a good move from the club to seal the deal early and hopefully build a squad around him. Lets just hope we can play some better stuff next year or it'll just be a waste of money. Over to you Fordy.....
