Personally I’d prefer that we sign younger Championship players, rather than having loads of injury prone ex SL players. Probably cheaper as well. We don’t want another Nathan Massey.

McShane is 34 do we really need him? Be interesting what fans 🤔 think.

I believe its Will Jubb of York we're linked with as McShanes arrival pushes jubb down their pecking order.

Olpherts no thanks

I agree, his defence is dire. Yes he's scored tries this year but he's been playing for the league leaders who's squad is markedly stronger than all other championship teams. Not a wise choice for my money.

Think TRL/LE missed a trick with their clickbait, they could have gone with "Featherstone Rovers set for boost in pivotal position as Nathan Cleary is spotted at the SL Grand Final".

He runs around like a headless chicken 🐔 in defence.

Mc Shane to York, Jubb to Rovers. A good signing for me if it comes off., he always shows up well against us.

Jubby shows up well against everyone, I'm sad to see him leave. Been a major part of the club for quite a few years but probably the right time for him to have a go somewhere else.

Oliver Holmes is a decent forward 32 years old so it goes against what i said about not signing older ex SL players. But he always struck me as a player who gets involved and has the pace to score tries. He should have 3 years left as a Championship player. We may already have one similar in Brads Day.

He's signed for Hull next year

Always a danger when a player is settled at  aclub for years, he might never quite get to the same level for a new club.

Because  it implies that signings that may follow will  not be as exciting

personally I would have posted

Stay tuned in the coming days as we announce some new signings for our 2025 squad.

Not sure how you've derived that from "Stay tuned in the coming days as we announce some exciting signings for our 2025 squad", but fair enough.

I just thought it was silly  mentioning exciting because excitement  is in the eyes of the beholder a new signing may excite you but may not float my boat so I think telling us they are soon to be  announcing new signings would be better  letting us all make our own minds up if they are exciting or not

Doesn’t the word ‘Exciting’ make the statement stand out at bit more?. Personally can’t see anything wrong with its use.

I agree, nothing wrong with the club showing a bit of enthusiasm about its new recruits. I think that wording's fine, whereas if they announce something like a "major signing" then it really needs to be of some significance and one that will attract attention.
