A defeat by 50 or more sees us bottom of the league for at least a short while.

And it's looking highly likely.

Everytime I hear "Chamberlain" I think how the hell did anyone think he should be recruited as part of Hull's rebuilding efforts ....

He's rubbish, I really don't see what he offers at all.

There aren't. This is what we've got. Moy and the others have bags of talent, but it had become obvious in recent weeks that they just aren't ready for the week in week out slog of SL. But we don't have much choice. I don't lay any blame at their door. It's some of the disgraceful efforts from the senior players that I'm annoyed at.

Oh don’t get me wrong. Credit to those young lads but they’re not ready. Some are closer than others.

There’s the odd senior player putting in a shift but I think the problem runs far deeper.

There’s absolutely zero structure and the defensive line is a shambles. I’d blame the coaching and back room as much as the effort levels on display.

I watched Trinity in a tough year last year but there were a lot of good close run efforts. Can’t help but feel for you Hull fans though here. This is awful.  Ironically there’s an ex trinity back room staff who didn’t appear popular from what I heard with players (rumours) in the Hull back room this year.

Ese Ese is carrying the whole forward pack. Think he’s quality.

Could do with offloading the likes of Smith (was poor at Wakey last year) and Fash etc. Championship standard players at best imo.

He wasn't good when he played for us in London years ago, and he hasn't improved since.

He looks out on his feet on the pitch right now, and has Lafai and Ryan? running rings around him at times.

don't worry sezer is coming after an off season on the castlemaineXXXX - everything will be fine - just keep directing thousands in to ritchies bank account - forget investment in youth and development - its not worth it

Of the players signed from Leigh, Chamberlain is the most puzzling of the lot. He’s simply not good enough. 3 year contract as well

Yeah, 3 years is a disgraceful length of contract.

And I’d be very surprised if anyone else offered him 2 years. When the RFL lists came out a few months ago, Leigh hadn’t even offered any sort of deal.

56-4 to Salford

We'll get a consultation somewhere on a wing and fail to convert.

The consultant says you are not good enough and need to improve, now here is a bill for £450k.

There are plenty of things you can criticise us for, and I dont like the Sezer signing either, but your argument doesnt make a jot of sense. You do realise there are 8 academy players in this team? And I don't mean players that have come through the academy, I mean they literally are eligible for the academy now. So what is your suggestion? Just keep playing this same team next year and keep getting thrashed? These kids need experience around them and that's what Myler and Cartwright are trying to do. You might not think those signings are good enough, but nothing is being done at the expense of youth and development. Our whole ethos is building around the youth.

Salford are just miles bigger, both forward and back. Effort only gets you so far. No amount of defensive organisation will make up for one team being so physically dominant.
