Batley round off their season by phoning in a 64-16 defeat in Toulouse.

They fought back from 18-0 down. It was pretty close up until the 50 minute mark.

24-16 at 50'

TO were throwing the ball around a bit more than normal. Not sure what to take from that match other than being positive and a bit of momentum, and allowing Jake some kicking practice.

Edit: A bit of a worry with Sita going off with a bad ankle.

Looks like Sita has done his Achilles.

TO played well within themselves for the first 50 minutes and carelessly let Batley back in though TO were always in charge. They gifted the three Batley tries, two with bad handling from high balls by Laguerre and Armitage. Full credit to The Bulldogs , many of whom were carrying injuries, notably Josh Woods who played most of the game with a dead leg. Impressed with the fb Butterworth and young Paul Chitakunye on debut I believe. Batley ran out of steam in the last 25 minutes plus TO upped their game, bolstered by the pace and urgency of Eloi. The club and fans gave him a great send-off at the end. He acrobatically scored the last try on the hooter and even cheekily took the conversion in front of the posts . Impressed with Stefani again, he is strong and has pace which is handy when you’re a second rower.

They fought back from 18 down to end up only 48 down?

8-10 now (Barrow sin bin)

Bit of a stupid thing to do. Lot of penalties.

Dewsbury's highest defeat of the season may be on the cards as I'm not sure we've got 18 players due to injuries and suspensions.

16-4 to Dewsbury at half time.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Given our 3 subs you'll still win easily. We've led at HT in 9 games and won only once.

How wrong can I be? Only 3 subs, one who's been out 6 months, one who's had 1 game and a young loanee first start out of position at hooker.

Can only think Sheffield thought they just had to turn up.

Yes they look like they have gone into free fall

I’m listening to the excellent as always commentary and they keep saying Fev’s season is over, whereas looks like Sheffield have really messed up and Fev somehow make the playoffs.

Widnes back in play offs. 2018 was last time, I think. Hopefully we can give York a game.

C'mon you Vikings!!😁

Sheffield were dire, can't tell if they just thought they had it won by merely turning up, or something more nefarious is at play.

The attitude was poor, play was incredibly slack and their start took the pish a bit I think. Dewsbury deserved winners against a Sheffield side way below what they expect and can perform like.

The crowd seemed almost 50/50 which was odd!

Given we couldn't even raise 17 players think many supporters like myself were expecting a bigger than usual hiding. Certainly much weaker than the team Featherstone put 50 points past last week. Our bench had two players with only a few games between them and a player who has been out injured for 6 months.

Can only guess Sheffield just thought they had to turn up. On paper no way they should have lost that game.

Shame for Thackeray's career to end like that. He was a great player for Dewsbury.
