May I request a new name on the Trophy, no controversy and last but not least, to be well entertained. Good Luck.

Would be more than happy to be proved wrong, but struggling to see anything other than a Wigan win, probably by a couple of scores.

An on song Wigan a very difficult to score against and with the fire power they have, pretty much impossible to keep out.

I think HKR will have to defend even better than they did against Warrington and in attack the Minchella, Lewis, May axis is going to have to be on top form with one of them, probably Lewis, having a MoM performance.

Can HKR do it? I hope so but doubt it. Looking forward to a great game

The Wgan Juggernaut continues to roll on...

Wigan by at least 2 scores.

French can be managed. Nsemba can be managed. Field can be managed. Can they be managed at the same time - past games suggest not.

This is Rovers' big defensive challenge.

I hope some Wigan players decide to play competitive rugby as opposed to theatrical amateur dramatics (Field & Dupree et.al).

Here's to a good game - it will be close and Rovers to edge it for me.

I’ve gone for Hull KR to cause an upset.

Wigan should be favourites in this after the game between the sides recently and the respective performances in the playoffs.

On paper, it should be Wigan, they’re peaking at the right time and it would be hard to argue they don’t deserve it.

But sport isn’t played on paper which is the beauty of it.

I’m hoping for a great game at the least.

I don't know that I agree. Hull KR looked the better team and it took the yellow cards (one correct, one incorrect IMO) for Wigan to score.

Tradition states ABW, but if it is true that if they win all four cups they would turn down the WCC to go on a jolly to vegas instead, then eff the pies.

A sell out and a new winner would be a nice bonus.

If Wigan win maybe the side who doesn't have a league game before Vegas and doesn't have one for two weeks after it could travel to the UK. The schedule for Penrith would be easily doable but for a side with a cup tie, then a league game and then another league game less than a week after Vegas, it won't be as easy but we don't actually know Wigan wouldn't try and make it happen.

In terms of 'turning down' the WCC by the way, you do know it was only played last year because Wigan organised it and paid Penriths expenses? There isn't  really anything to 'turn down'.

This is basically what I said in the Wigan vs Leigh thread - this could be a really difficult test against a solid Hull KR side who seem like they know how to come through tight games.

The interesting thing for me is how they handle the occasion. Wigan have bags of experience in this area so you'd think they have some sort of mental "routine" nailed down, whereas Rovers could either be fired up just enough, too much, or simply overwhelmed. I hope for their sake they'll be fired up just enough and contribute to a great spectacle whatever the outcome.

They have last year's Wembley game as a big event to draw upon. I agree that the first 10-15 minutes are massive. KR can't let themselves be overwhelmed and suddenly find themselves 18-0 down after 15-20 minutes.

I have faith that this Peters-coached side will handle the big stage.
