''If we can get our fair share of possession I think that'll go a long way to us coming back and winning the game.''

''I think we're just trying to find our own rhythm, with what we're used to back home, but we were sort of feeling that throughout the game and we'll make sure we fix that up second half.''

Jarome Luai on the ruck enforced by the English ref.

In other words - he didn't actually really say anything about it.

"what we're used to back home" is a cop out - the NRL would have sinbinned numerous Samoan players in that first half.

The crowd looks disappointing, I thought it was a sellout?

Either he is just making a game of it or is too scared of the inevitable flak he'll get from Samoa and the NRL players if he does. It's probably a bit of both.

Why is that, has he got some history?

Don't you remember any of the last 20 games NRL-related teams have played against England or an English side that was officiated under a Super League ref?

No one ever said it was a sellout. It looks pretty good to me for a test v Samoa and certainly looks better than the Tonga tests last year.

Not sure where you got that impression, sales haven’t been great at any point (though it looks better than I feared). They even resorted to giving a free ticket to anyone renewing or taking out a new membership at Wigan last week

All said with a big smile on his face and he made it clear that it was nothing to do with different NRL interpretation. It was as clear as day he knew what Samoa were doing and getting away with.

Yes, they are certainly not used to being allowed to slow the ruck down this much.

Whose they? I'm sure Wigan would have paid for the tickets and it wasn't just a freebie by the RFL.

Indeed. It will absolutely have been part of the commercial arrangement. Otherwise it would have been for all clubs.

I think the attendance will be higher than Headingley which is a pleasant surprise.

I think a good England win will add a few thousand to the Leeds crowd.

Nice to see that Davies Wembley try again. I never tire of seeing him skinning the Kangaroo defence.

I doubt it.

But it looks ok and well done to Wigan for buying all those tickets to hand out.
