But also, we really should be playing teams like Samoa anyway, irrespective of what is going on with Oz. It's a really weird complaint.

I also think that it's all just a little small time RL thinking. We don't have to benchmark everything to Australia. We're playing Samoa, analyse the match based on the opposition and what we've done

utterly pointless predictable international against a ramshackle side on a jolly - no wonder people dont attend - bring on the real deal - aus and nz or dont bother at all

Personally, I think Bateman has been the least impressive player for me. Newman has had a couple of good runs, but Bateman has been pretty anonymous throughout for me.

Watching that test this morning I would much prefer more size against the Aussies next year. Same against NZ too.

I assume he's got that down without seeing the replay - Would have been interesting if Ashton didn't have to get round the Samoan support player
