So is Francis Wilson , and viewers used to knit jumpers and send them in for him to wear . Which he would , then do the weather , before we moved onto Russell Grant doing the horoscopes ( usually also in a terrible jumper ) . Luckily he didn’t tell Frank Bough his future

BBC 4 was showing a TOTP repeat last night, and they had Barry Manilow doing a live version of Copacabana, I don't know who looked more embarrassed, him or the kids in the audience. WTF were the BBC think they were doing, putting that Old Coffin Dodger on a prime time "Pop" show, no wonder it died.

I've only owned a few amplifiers in my life and, every time I get a new one, I always tell myself to take it slow and easy getting everything set up - no hurry. And I always end up pouring with sweat, inserting at least one plug incorrectly and things not working properly at first (all my fault).

Well, I just got a new amp today, told myself the same old thing and... yep. 🙄

I was looking at our French doors today and wondering what was supposed to be so French about them - its just 2 doors made of pvc that open inwards like most other external doors - if any one can enlighten me any further I would like to know

I had my fourth Covid Jab today, having had no side effects whatsoever with the others. This one made my whole arm tingle and set my teeth on edge when on the short drive home. Got in, fell straight asleep for an hour. Best nap I've had in weeks; I feel fantastic and looking forward to tonight down town. 👍

An analogue watch that's also a metronome and a tuner... and looks really nice, to boot!

Been catching up on the heats of Brain of Britain. Gail Trimble, possibly the best University Challenge competitor of the last twenty years. was in it. She didn't win but will probably get through as one of the  highest-scoring-losers. She came second to a professional gambler.

Today, I drove past a group of schoolkids kids about 6 or 7 years old. They were having a bike riding lesson on a nearby street and all had high-viz vests on. One young lad had a vest that must have been bought by his Mam.  On the back was printed Celebrity Trainee.

I realised today that some days I don't go into the bathroom after I return home from work.

How odd.

I realised this because when I went in the bathroom this morning and the blind hadn't been put down.

Why have a blind when the window glass should be frosted?

I'm going for false teeth in a glass of water on the bedside cabinet.

I was born to run a club like this. Number 1, I do not spook easily, and those who think I do, are wasting their time, with their surprise attacks.

Some days are like that, I get tired and find myself in bed early. But fair point I hadn't realised that.

Bungalow, even though it's the highest grade of frosting, the neighbour can still look in.
