Leigh v Bradford first up is huge and will be interesting to see how its officiated. If we can hit them cold and take a good win, the rest of the comp will really fancy having a dig at them which will hit their confidence and ignite the comp imo

Blaming the ref already SC?

I believe Fev and Worky have now signed a couple of monsters !!

You cant beat two massive quality props going hell and leather to knock 10 bells out of each other.

Next season will be memorable for all divisions and i predict the average crowds will be boosted on all fronts as a result of the new structure.

People are asking for the opener for Leigh to be televised. Forget that, there are other teams that deserve this coverage too.

Cant wait !

Bradford, London, Leigh, Fev, Halifax, Sheffield, over the course of the season both relegated teams will have a deeper stronger squad to cope with injuries and quick turnaround games. It will take a mighty effort for one of the championship teams to gain promotion, even for Bradford and London.

Bookies rarely get it wrong. Fev 4th favs at 10-1 with Bulls and layers virtually certain to be 1 and 2. A successful season will be 4th with a scare for one of the sl boys in the play offs a bonus if we can do it. Wakefield are poor so Bulls or Leigh could send them down. Love to be wrong but the squad is lacking real class at half back to guide us all year to better than top 4.

We have a lot of new lads this season and I think a lot will depend how quickly they settle in. The key may be not losing too many games early on as I think we will get better as the season goes on.

Overall I think we will probably finish 3rd with a big surge late on in the season.

1. Dulls- Big squad and experienced players. Not sure why they felt the need to bring in so many overseas players though. Anything other than top spot will be a failure

2. Leigh- Will be up there challenging but feel Bradford will pip them. Had a great year last year and the pressure will be on to repeat that especially after a signing Fui Fui.

3. Fev- Another who will be up there. Some good signings but I feel they lack the experience and quality of Leigh and Bradford to get in to the top 2.

4. London- Tough to call as hard to know that much about them and have lost some good players. Will be tough to beat in the Capital. Think much depends on how they go on the away games. Made some good signings but again lack the quantity and Quality of Leigh, Fev and Bradford.

5 and 6. Could be anybody as close to call and much depends on how teams gel etc

Fax new coach who has been left mainly with players which Harrison signed. Could be dark horses as Marshall is a quality coach and highly rated. But Fax lack strength in depth and quality.

Sheffield are always tough to play and Aston is a good coach and they have a good squad. Think they are too weak to get in to the top 4.

Batley are like Dewsbury and Doncaster in that they again lack the quality and Quantity for a top 4 finish but are a tough teams to beat and can cause upsets

Workington could be a dark horse and will be interesting to see how they go with Wigan players.

Fev will be in top 3 but will be a late push when the rest of the guys come over and settle in.

Sorry no where near on today's performance

correct it was..... no disputing that. Batley were miles better in every facet of the game

But it was a season prep game.

Exactly.its matters not a jot.

We played well and scored some good tries against a lacklustre rovers team but it doesnt count for anything what-so-ever if we dont put in a similar performance in the corresponding league fixture.

Does that mean rovers didnt try or want to win.

Pre season/friendlies are a useful tool for any club. Unfortunately batley turned your high paid stars over with relative ease

course they did... again, no bug gers arguing that.

But in friendlies winning isn't always the priority.... New formations, game plans, fringe players etc are all tried out in the pre season. That's how it goes. Yes, you turned us over good n proper but it means sod all.

Beat us in the league fixture and it will.

You're acting like it's a GF win....

Apply some perspective.... you beat us well in a preseason game.... Nowt more... Nowt less!

un expected....but a friendly win means absolutely nothing.....not sure why Batley fans are even bothering to write....it might come back to bite when the proper games come along........( and probably will )........
