Workington

Well done Town. A smart 'traditional type' top.  An early Xmas pressy I think.  (Got to agree with the comments about the neck sponsor though.)

Jam Eater  1.(noun. jam eeter) A Resident of Whitehaven or Workington. Offensive.  It is now a term of abuse that both towns of West Cumbria use for each other especially at Workington/Whitehaven rugby league derby matches.

9am on a Saturday? Do they hate their fans so much?

It's an away shirt for the yoof market, so they can call in on the way home from clubbing.

Ah. The young people. I hear such things about them.

What’s with the colours? Is there a reason why Wakefield have suddenly incorporated lime green into their away shirts?

It's for when they play in the summer snow in February.

But really, the home shirts for the last 4 years have been fairly/very traditional and have rotated the main colour.

2015 white

2016 blue

2017 red

2018 white

2019 blue

Then the away shirt has been more of a random sports fashion alternative especially since moving to ISC and dropping the wildcats tag.

It's about maximising choice, and hence sales. It seems to be working. There's more Trinity merchandise around Wakefield now than there was Bulls gear 15 years ago.

Last year they supported the Wakefield Hospice that was their colours could be the same again this time round but no announcements as yet.

So basically you want last years home kit to be this years away kit, doh?

Mot clubs use a different colour scheme for the away kit - this year see Saints and Warrington for starters.

It works money wise or they wouldn't do it.

Saints’ has some history to it, it’s supposed to be based on the Mal Meninga away kit. Don’t mistake us with the awful kit Wire have been given.
