Yes completely.

In a similar vein, the actor Christopher Benjamin has also died, aged 90. Another character actor who'd been in tons of (mostly TV) things.

Scottish Football legend Denis Law: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/ckgvny01x9go

Fantastic player and will always be remembered for scoring the goal that demoted his loved UTD, his lack of joy was there all to see. Great character as well.

Had the pleasure as a young boy watching him plat at Old Trafford.

I remember Dennis Law for his 'celebration' after scoring a goal. He would run back to the rest of the team with his right arm raised, index finger pointing skywards. He famously scored all six of City's goals in the cup tie against Luton (around 1961) which was abandoned with City winning 6-0 and only about 15 minutes left. City lost the replay, guess who scored their only goal.

Thanks for the memories, Dennis. RIP.

Even though I’ve seen clips of him playing it’s more the voice of his co commentary on radio I remember ,in a time where there was little televised football and  it was up to the commentators and your imagination to picture the game. Also immortalised in the title of the Men they couldn’t hang song ‘Denis Law and Ali McGraw’.
Another legend gone Rip

Interestingly out of the United big 3 in the 60s he was the one who had a good rep with the Kop at Anfield.

This stemmed from him once impersonating a policeman walking along the side of the pitch in a comical fashion behind the copper’s back to the delight of the Kop haha.

Legend is an overused term in football but he was one.

RIP Denis Law

Always denied and never corroborated, never denied being naked and wrapped in a rug when the police raided.

Anyway, the Ballad of Lucy Jordan was class.

Yes that's true. It was quite a story at the time though.
