Their excuse is the Covid pandemic, not having any income from home games and issues with visas as the season extends beyond its expected end date. This has nothing to do with PSG, Gateshead or Celtic Crusaders; though in case you missed it both of the latter have legacy clubs in league one.

£1.5m wouldn’t have touched the edges.

The Phoenix clubs have no bearing on the rubbish strategies around the inclusion of new clubs in the game.

That is the main point isn't it? Regardless of whether you like TWP or not.

I don't see how any decision later this month will really matter anyway......... they could go all in to bring them back and it just not be possible

Were struggling to get games on now with teams down the road from eachother

You’re the one going on about the £1.5m, not them.

They could defer them until 2022, I suppose.

Of course they do.

It shows that there is a sucsessful engagement with the communities, it shows and adds to the player development pathways.

Once relegated from the top division most clubs revert to part time and one could include Widnes as a pheonix club as they restarted after going bust following relegation

It doesn’t. It shows there is interest for a club. What it, again, doesn’t show is any foresight or strategic planning for the growth of the game. The inclusion of Phoenix clubs doesn’t show that, they’re admitted and left to their own devices.

Ha so your point was nonsense

Your response was nonsense

And now your resorting to pettiness

What a sad individual you are

Pot, kettle, black.

Try a few full stops too, it would make your ramblings more coherent.

Bearing in mind the current Global Pandemic going on..........

If SL let TWP in again.......... unless things drastically change before next season they won't be able to operate anyway?

COVID is to blame for them pulling out in the first place isn't it?

They would have to play in the UK until travel restrictions are lifted. Who knows what next season will look like anyway?!

Most likely. Having spoke to a coach in another sport he suggested that there will be no international competition till 2022.

Don't feel sorry for us...we don't want pity from anyone...it is what is is....a golden opportunity missed, especially when all of the groundwork has been put in place...a real shame is all....too bad...shortsighted.

No, the TWP management were shortsighted.

If the Pack had got officially relegated, irrespective of the virus, then they effectively would go back to square one.

LiVolsi has agreed to cover all outstanding 2020 player salaries - on condition that TWP be allowed back into Super League for the 2021 season. Hardly unexpected of course, but the fact that the club went public with it surely indicates progress is being made on this. And the players' union being onside with it is another plus.

So,they are going to pay  players what should a been paid anyway, so long as they get back to Sl for 2021.That should work.🤡 will they be jetting squads back to manchester or dumping them in Glasgow again.

Not how it should work. Pay the players full stop regardless of whether they blackmail themselves back in SL. If he won't then he does not have the funds to make Toronto a viable entity and will run into trouble in future.

- Carlo LiVolsi is a successful businessman/entrepreneur. He sees an opportunity in acquiring the bankrupt Toronto Wolfpack RFL team. However, he also realizes the only way he can possibly make money out of this is by playing in the Super League

- LiVolsi makes an offer to SL/RFL for TWP, conditional on being readmitted to Super League for the 2021 season. In return he will pay TWP's outstanding debts, beginning with players' salaries. He and the RFL Players' Union even go public with his agreement

- people here aren't impressed, somehow believing LiVolsi should just pay the players anyway, even though he doesn't own the Wolfpack, never did own the Wolfpack, and the Wolfpack's debts are not his debts. Good faith payment? Christian charity perhaps?

- perhaps people here ought to start donating to a collection that can then be divied up amongst the needy players. Of course no one here has any more obligation to the players than LiVolsi currently does but that doesn't seem to stop them from spending his money.

If he doesn't own them he doesn't pay the players. His choice. if he wants to own them then he should accept the liabilities, I dont believe Toronto have gone into admin as such where the where the debt disappeared with the old company. Put us in SL or the players dont get paid is quite frankly appalling behaviour so SLE should tell him to ###### off. We're not that desperate for a pseudo Canadian club based in Manchester.

He has no legal obligation to pay the players, the TU have openly said this.

He is NOT the owner of the club but is saying he will buy the club and pay the wages if you let us into SL21.

That is not blackmail, it is simply a business proposition from a prospective new owner.

Blackmail would be if they were in SL and he was using this strategy to keep themselves there.

What you are proposing he does is the equivalent of someone buying a business in administration and paying off all its debts.

That is a nice idea but not how reality works.

There are a lot of very real pros and cons to Wolfpack, but you're out to lunch with this particular argument.

So, if I understand correctly:

1. Unless Toronto are allowed back to SL, the players wont get the money owed

2.When the new [and probably reduced] tv deal comes in, TW want it to be distributed equally

3. There is no commitment to the payment of other TW debts, just a vague 'we will look at them'

4. There will be no commitment to paying expenses for travel to Canada [thus increasing SL club's costs]

5. The potential new owner will walk away if SL deosn't agree to the above

6. Kayakman [who I think is probably Jean in disguise] believes a 140 year old sport will collapse unless SL agree to the blackmail from the groomer

Interesting prospect......

Who's Jean?

And if I don't know who he is, how do you after only being here for a month?
