Warrington have played some great stuff in attack but then look lost on the lack tackle.

Austin has done a lot of good stuff and then put some average kicks in. Maybe Widdopp can add this.

Yeah I thought that but then we’ve had to play panic scramble rugby with the missing players.   Let’s be objective.

I don't think we are looking for Hill and Cooper for those magic last tackle plays though :kolobok_biggrin:

Yes fair point, though Austin seemed to have his angles all over the place. Must give credit to Burgess for his positioning on the kicks though and particularly his leap for the lengthy run he had.

Wigan 16-10 Warrington FT. A game that hit all the right spots.

I can’t really call it a moral victory for Wire given the two deserved cards for Hill and Cooper but not far off.

Not a moral victory, but a psychological one.

We weren’t beaten by a better team, just one that didn’t make a stupid clumsy head shot.

FT, and Warrington "won the argument" in defeat a lot more convincingly than Jeremy Corbyn did. Wigan looked rusty but physical. Warrington may well brood on the points they probably should have taken from this match.

A bit scrappy at times ball-handling wise but the pace was nuts for a first hit out. Good to see another team looking to play some exciting expansive stuff with Wire looking dangerous in broken field, they'll take a lot more positives from that than Wigan (performance wise if not the result)

A good first game which both teams can take a lot from. Warrington looked in great shape and the sending off was a big turning point.

I think Warrington win that game with 13, there attacking play was a level above Wigan.

We didn’t alienate half our fan base you mean?

We nearly did last season ?

And, as for the other half, it wasn't for lack of trying. :kolobok_wink:
