I should go for Catalan but they have won 3 games on the trot and that says they are due a loss, Salford have a squad to perform better than they have done so far this term.

Going to go for a sneaky Salford win by 4.

The thread title omits to mention that this match is on Sky TV, where it is said to kick off at 5pm BST, which looks right as Les Dracs' website gives a start time of 1800 hours, and I think France is still one hour different from us.

I predict a home win, but only by a few - two, three or four points maybe.

Look for another stellar performance from Sam Tomkins, and more dashing skill from Tom Davies. Catalans have overall a very impressive set of outside backs.

Steve McNamara needs to find a place for rising French star Arthur Mourgue. An off the bench replacement for the underperforming Josh Drinkwater would be a good start.

Catalans should win comfortably.

A good chance to replace the inept Drinkwater with a young French half,it won’t happen but the Catalans to still win comfortably

Benjamin Jullien dropped to Élite 1.

Mourgue won't play as McIlorum is back.

But Mourgue is not a hooker. He is a half back or a full back.

Why has Jullien been dropped? Poor discipline? Missed training?

He won't play 6 or 7 unless drink or Maloney get injured.

McNamara doesn't trust Jullien I reckon

The reserves where supposed to be playing Lézignan. The reserves had a very good team out. They reckon morgue was dropping down too. The match v Lézignan would have been a good test even though Lézignan had quite a few players missing. The game is off due to covid cases.

I noticed that, a black mark for Mr Drake.

To be fair, the BBC had it wrong too, but appear to have made the necessary correction.

I am expecting Morgan Escare to have a great game today.

He is motivated to embarrass Bernard Guasch.

Why is this the first time he’s played the Catalans since his departure 5 yrs ago

Salford had plenty of possession, and made nothing of it. Catalans in on their first real attack.

And on their second, Langi in.

Are the Sky production team incapable of showing a replay of anything that isn't a try or a penalty?

Two massive hit ups from Bousquet and instead of showing them again we see a replay of an inconsequential penalty.
