I see the impregnable Kangaroos defence just melted away for that pitch invader...

The ref hasn't been that bad. There we're some questionable calls but it wasn't that bad. Australia deserved that win

The refs been fine, the obsession with refs on this forum is tiresome

What a game by Teddy.

Could be the goat of fullbacks when he retires. And I'm a huge Slater fan

Dave Woods reckoned he had the build of (I presume present day) Mal Meninga

Man of the match looks like a 19 crimes wine bottle lable.

Have you seen how non-Australian referees over-compensate when they get charge of a match involving the Kangaroos? Subconsciously yes, but still with an effect.

Because when the Kangaroos don't get an Aussie ref, they initiate the long-established pre-whinge, and demand meetings with the officials to "make sure they're up to speed" with international-standard RL etc.

Arko and Bozo used to do it every single time back in the old days, and if a neutral referee was appointed nowadays, the current Kangaroos' management would do exactly the same.

How can any Australian ref be up to speed with international RL, the draggers haven't played in how long? They also need reminding that International RL is NOT NRL rugby.

That said I do think Klein is about as good as anyone can hope for.

Probably against the grain but I thought that was a really boring match.

You are making it a subjective decision , we already have too many of those

Your Voluntary Tackle opinion ? , Considering we see several every game ?

No, I only want it penalised when it's clear.

To be fair to Samoa they have kept the score closer than i thought they would.

Yeah they’ve definitely given it a go. Just outclassed.

I really wish last week’s Aus-NZ semi had been the final though. That game deserved the big stage and the big crowd

You beauty. Never in doubt.

Good game Samoa, you were this close

All over now. Samoa played okay but Australia too good. Not the greatest of games. Shame Crichton didn't get a red card, would have made it interesting. Shame NZ didn't win last week!

Thanks everyone for supporting international RL.

See you all in France in 2025 !

Story of the tournament.

Amateurish video refereeing

We had this conversation before...

Why are you having a go at the video ref?

Another parallel - his time on the pitch lasted about as long as Mal's political career.

We needed that early 40-20 and a Samoa score
