how many times will the cliche "plenty to work on" get wheeled out this season?

I know Bono and he knows Ono and she knows Enos phone goes thus

The biggest markets get the most games. This looks like a crazy result for Wire though. It’s their year week!

Half as much as mentioning which players are not playing and what a difference they’d make to every team thats losing

It's lazy commentary, its easier than trying to explain what is really going on.

The Widnes love rat has had a tough evening.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

leeds look like one of those turquoise bathroom suites from the 70s - outdated and need replacing as quick as possible

The thing is its really easy to summarise what has gone - Wire have totally dominated a Leeds side who have underperformed, we got battered down the middle for that whole first half

Not a great gauge on Warrington's position as Leeds were not exactly strong opposition, but that was a really promising start.

Leeds, if they are worse than that this season I'll be surprised.

Well played Warrington, that was a really dominant performance. It's always hard to judge teams in the first few games but that was a lot more like the Warrington of old and bodes well for the season. Leeds were just really poor all round.

I don't necessarily think this is a good indicator of how the season will go for either side, but I'm impressed by the intensity that Warrington were able to bring so early in the season.

Leeds on the other hand looked terrible. There has been a lot of talk in the off season about all exciting new trick plays and short kickoffs etc. Unfortunately all that stuff is irrelevant if you don't roll your sleeves up and lay the platform first.

As a Hull fan I'm looking forward to a trip to Headingley next week even more now.

Couldn't have gone much worse really. Hopefully the leadership council come to a resolution...

In all seriousness, sometimes games go like that and when it rains, it pours. We lost 66-10 away to Cas in 2017.

Have to beat Hull at home though because the performance really was dire.

The defensive structure was just poor and didn't work.

Sezer & Austin is a crēpe HB partnership, both massively overrated.

Well played Wire, very impressive. Still think they're lacking in the backline to get big results when they come up against a decent pack. The rest of SL will be checking their fixtures hoping they've got Leeds in the next few weeks as that was pretty shambolic.
