A St Helens team coming down from winning the WCC, with jet lag and all the other incidental things like celebrations affecting them, could not have had a more suitable opposition than Castleford, the way they played today.

It was like they felt sorry for them.

You’d think the last quarter of the game would have been the hardest for Saints today, but it was nothing of the sort, if anything they got stronger while Cas wilted.

So at least one person mentioned at full time that Welsby was lucky not to see a card. But that person was Welsby himself not the others who glossed over it.

I rather think that the RFL Disciplinary will be issuing him with a ban and a fine seeing as Liam Moore decided not to punish him for the reckless high shot.

Well Adam Hills should know and he said he suffers from it for up to four days so that would imply that Saints wouldn't be able to train properly for today's game until mid/late this past week.
