Rene_Artois
Great game at Doncaster. Thoroughly entertaining. Lovely length of field try from Tom Halliday. Took some scoring. Sitting next to his granddad he certainly enjoyed it!
wilsontown
I thought West Bowling acquitted themselves well today at York. A spirited outfit with a decent following, they had us under some sustained pressure in the first half and deserved their two tries. Onward and upward for York, hopefully.

Hopping Mad
Witnessed a cracking cup-tie at the Eco-Power Stadium. Workington, 20-18 up as the game moved into its last minute, looked set for victory after a see-saw battle with Doncaster. But Dons right wing Tom Halliday picked up a last tackle grubber and sped the length of the field, outpacing his pursuers, to touch down under the posts. Man of the match Connor Robinson's straightforward conversion wrapped up a thrilling 24-20 home victory. Tough on Town left wing Sean Sabutey, who scored a hat-trick of tries as the visitors exploited Dons' apparent vulnerability down their right flank. Dons scrum-half Jack Potter must be one of the smallest guys ever to play professional rugby league. He's got some talent, mind. Official attendance neither announced (why not?) nor posted on social media (why not?). Two coach-loads of Workington supporters swelled it to something like 800. Not easy to estimate when everybody is in the one stand. Still not a fan of the Eco-Power Stadium, surely a white elephant. It's way too big for Doncaster Rovers' needs let alone the rugby league club. Admission was £15. Dons' excellent, 56-page 'season guide' (available only from the box office - why?) cost a fiver. Teamsheets were free. Unlike the 'season guide', teamsheets were made obviously available on the east stand concourse. del capo
I've really enjoyed these early rounds of the CC this year. Congrats to the Tier 3 League 1 sides who have survived by and large the banana skins thrown in their way and well done to the Community clubs who have given it a good go. 2 NCL clubs have made it to the 4th Round and across the board there have been healthy entrance and bar takings, not to mention participation grants, keeping most club treasurers in good mood.. I for one am happy with the early rounds structure to this comp.

Not at all related to the rugby but where have all the eggs gone? Easter bunny been hiding them already? It's not something I had realised was missing in the UK. The Blues Ox
2 hours ago, Harry Stottle said: I just don't get the hype that Joe Keyes receives, a game when he is required he goes missing - again in my opinion, he to me is one of those who is very noticeable when his team is having a going well, but hides in tough games. I don't think he had a good game today, maybe still not right after the head knock at Widnes but we see him week in and week out and he is class for us, typical old fashioned scrum half. It's no surprise we went to pieces after he went off at Widnes he is that important to us. Ive said many times on here I wouldn't get too excited about our down fall early in the season, we just seem to be a team that gets off to a slow start for whatever reason but any team with players of the quality of Keyes, Jouffrett, JWH, and Walmsley in it is going to score points if the pack can frame themselves which I thought they did today for the first time this season. Obviously Fev had a lot of players missing but still managed to field a team that cost at least twice as much as our starting 17 but it does give hope to others teams that if Fev do start to pick up injuries then they are not as invincible as some people would have us believe. I thought it was a decent game to watch despite the errors, ref had a decent game as well, and it was certainly a nervous last couple of minutes as we somehow gave Fev a chance to snatch it. I really didn't expect that today and thought their huge pack would trample us again but in both halfs Fev's big pack ran out of steam and it seemed to be a case of us holding on for 20 minutes and then waiting for Fev to tire before we seemed to get on top. Anyway our season stays alive for 1 more week.......
Wakefield Ram
Dewsbury through fairly comfortably in the end, though we somehow managed to concede a try when Rochdale were down to 11 players! Liam Finn rested a few including Dale Ferguson and Paul Sykes, so he must have been sweating a bit at 26-18.

Aye, I was at his 500th game against us, I thought he was excellent and ran the show for Dewsbury, just assumed he must have been retiring at the end of the season. Fair play to him. Shows he is not in it just for the money.Long time retired so i admire him more now than when he played SL.If he can still earn his place on merit and pass on his experience other players will benefit from him.

Absolutely picked on merit and I doubt anyone plays at Dewsbury for the money. Born in Dewsbury and supported the team as he grew up.
