Big ask but if it results in an extra 1,000+ fans then worth it.

I've always wondered why clubs that are closely located don't come to arrangements to sell package tickets for the local away games.

For example, if I were say a Leeds fan, an extended session ticket to get into all the West Yorkshire away games too would be quite appealing. It's not a big distance to Cas, Wakey and Hudds, and you'd get much bigger attendances as a result. Not sure how the logistics would work money-wise but it's certainly worth looking into I'd say.

Brisbane v Penrith 33,343

Souths v Parra 27,432

Two very good crowds. A great shame that less than 10,000 St G fans could get to Kogarah to see their club defeat the Roosters in their first game under new caretaker coach Ryan Carr. An absolutely thrilling watch.

Huddersfields cheapest adult season ticket has generally been between £99 and £149 for the past 10-15 years now

No they haven't, in 2015 prices were £270 or £305.

2014 were £225 or £260

2016 were £125 if purchased in the 1st month otherwise it was £305

2013 they were £230

In fact as far back as 2009 i can recall paying around £200 for mine

They myth that we ALWAYS sell season cards cheap is just that, we have offers on early bird etc as do most clubs.

When we have done the £99/£125 offer it has been covered by Ken knowing it would lose money,

Disappointing but understandable att at Wakey last night , I'd go as far to say we outnumbered the home support quite easily

According to some of your fans your 900 did that last week too in a crowd of 5,000.

Thats really good considering Halifax FC are playing Gateshead at Wembley on Sunday.

I just read Halifax are only taking 6,000 to Wembley, a surprisingly small amount for an ex-league club. I bet Fax would take a lot more than that if they made the CC final.
Gateshead are only taking 4,000 too, must be one of the lowest Trophy final attendances in a long while.

Gateshead only get around a 1000 or even less and no one talks about them.

The Trophy isn't real a draw. The Vase is and the Cup sort of is but the Trophy ... the teams likely to win it value the league so, so much more.

Town have sold 7,000 tickets in their allocated areas.

To be fair, it's 3x their usual average support, most teams usually attract at least double their support for big games/finals etc.

Not many "non league" clubs would take many more.

Do you think? Look at past fa trophy final attendances;

Excluding Covid years. Last year Wrexham v Bromley 46k ( Bromley not an ex league club), 2019 Fylde v Orient 48k, 2018 Bromley v brackley 31k. I doubt there were many neutrals at those games. Even Lowestoft took 15k to the fa vase final.

Excellent stuff and hope 1 day Halifax will be in Super League.

Is Halifax like Wigan with you either support Rugby League or Football.

Is Wigan really like that. I know you get loudmouths who support one and slag off the other, but surely plenty of normal rational people support both teams?

Agreed if they’re also challenging for promotion, or have been to Wembley recently, but Halifax Town have been in the doldrums for years.

A lot of people like both sports. Not much interest in Halifax Town, mainly Leeds Utd, Man Utd and Liverpool fans

Loads in Wigan follow Wigan Rugby and Football. Those that follow Latics though, and not the big clubs like Man Utd, Liverpool etc, are very much in the minority.

Yes but some of those prices had conditions in place, granted they have been great value but are not just a set (cheap) price for everyone.

There is good value and then there is giving them away, which is what some of the Hudds prices have been over the years. Yes those are mostly early bird prices, the majority of most clubs season tickets are sold in the first couple of weeks of availability so a high proportion would have been bought at those prices.

Cheap tickets are a very old school and lazy way of marketing that just doesn't have much impact these days. A low price just creates a perception of low value product and in a competitive entertainment marketplace, it's experience that drives attendance rather than cost implications. If Hudds want to stay a top SL side post-Davy, they need to basically double those season ticket prices and soon.

Think town ended up taking about 7500. Was surprised when I heard during the week (thought it’d be at least 10k)but I guess everyone’s skint. Saw some pictures from someone who went down and Wembley looked desperate. Was impressed by the fax crowd though, really decent do.
