Exactly!

We had a good balance last year with Lolohea, Pryce, Fages/Russell and Levi, this year to accommodate Connor we've had all sorts of combinations that  haven't worked.

For me, I'd get back to as near as we had last year, give Connor a few games off and see if the team can gel again as a team rather than individuals.

Except we don't have Levi or Leuteli our two best players last year. Other teams had worked us out before the season end and realised we had no pace at all, scoring most of out tries through the forwards. We are in my opinion the slowest side in superleague and that doesn't look like changing anytime soon due to Watsons terrible signings  and hes still adding 30 odd year olds to the pack

We are stuffed for this season and probably at least next.

Jesus christ where do i start with that pathetic effort?

Absolutely abysmal effort by some of our lot, Connor is rapidly becoming one of the worse signings we have made recently, he has offered absolutely nothing to the side as of yet, granted he has just recovered from a long injury but he should be showing something by now and he isn't, apart from a couple of kicks and passes from dummy half you wouldn't even know he was on the pitch.

I personally think we will be better if he wasn't in the team.

We ae in danger of returning to where we were when we brought Watto in which would be a massive waste of time effort and money, someone needs to start cracking some whips and pretty soon!.

It is June tomorrow isn't it?  And the Penrith game was in mid-Feb?  Just checking as some people seem to be in a time warp.

Too late. It has entered forum mythology along with Leigh's ghost railway station reference. I will of course do my best to keep it going for as long as it generates a response. 😀😀😀😀

As for the game itself,  Giants couldn't have beaten Wakefield they played so badly. We retired to the bar after half time, just couldn't bear to watch any more. Worst game of the weekend.

Lolohea isn't slow. Senior & Naiqama aren't. Pryce isn't. Who are the tortoises?

Lolohea is skilful enough and is fast enough over distance but is not quick off the mark, Conner the same, I was referring more to our style of play being slow and easily worked out. Last season our forwards were as good as any and gave us lots of field position but too little of it was used to good effect and that has not changed this season, It's ok going on about how injuries have been getting us, every team has the same problems and we have one of the biggest squads in the league. Maybe i am expecting too much but i feel with the resources Watson has had he has not done a great job or maybe it's just me that doesn't like his style of football,  Something isn't right tha'ts plain for anyone to see

Many a time on here i've been bagged for calling Connor a show pony who turns up every now & again and grabs the headlines. But most of the time when his team is struggling and desperately in need of some brilliance he just goes missing, as he did yesterday.

I was surprised that Hudds brought him back as he isn't the kind of player that that fits with Watsons type of play. With so many other players underperforming around him Connor just looks lost

you've pretty much got 2 versions of the same player, lolohea has a slightly fatter ######.

Was my first time watching Huddersfield in the flesh this season yesterday and they have a good set of great individual players but they are really poor as a collective team. Ian Watson must surely be on borrowed time now considering the investment that has gone into the playing group there by Davy.

So how good is Trout who is reportedly singing for Leigh, he has built a reputation of looking good at Huddersfield, but Bonnie Langford would probably look good in that team the way its performing.

See Alex Walmsley has received a grade B charge for an accidental head clash, I don't think I've ever seen a charge for that type of incident before??

And you still haven’t as he has been charged for a high tackle.

It relates to the Greenwood incident were they clashed heads though so not sure how it is classified as a high tackle. Maybe you can enlighten me as you appear to know more than me?

Maybe some amusement park could have a St Helens and Leigh theme with Saints travelling back from Penrith on a choo-choo and accidentally ending up stranded in Leigh?? 'Oh, Mr Porter!' mixed in with 'Around the World in 80 Days'...

They didn't look slow when putting 40 on Salford.

Clearly all is not well at your place. Challenge Cup Final last year & a decent league placing looked liem it was leading to something this time round.

All is not lost yet. A change in form & a decent run of wins will bring the play offs back in to view

Connor signing baffled me as he isn't a team player. What has he actually added?

So they have basically ruled the accidental clash of heads as a high tackle from Walmsley🤷🏻‍♂️

If it is the same incident it has been classed as Reckless not Accidental. I’m sure that Saints will appeal if the decision is incorrect

Trout is a very good prospect with a lot of potential If he goes to you it will be a very good signing for you . It's not a disaster for us because we have quite a few good young forwards but i'll be sorry to see him go.

The forwards are not where our problems are but Mr Watson says we shall be better going forward, I hope he proves to be right because things are at a very low ebb, We have some quality players and some less quality but they are all his signings so he needs to stop whinging and sort things out.

So  they charged Walmsley because he was reckless with his head??? Strange charge for me but it won't be challenged because it hasn't resulted in a ban.

If it’s the same incident and he was reckless then yes you can charge someone even if contact was with the head and if this wasn’t the case then irrespective of a ban or not you would challenge/ appeal due to the totting up procedure as the Grade B will stay on file
