Oldham Valderama Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Blimey, another really good signing!!!! Seems like the new board are not scared to open up the cheque book!! Just hope when i get my season ticket it doesnt work out at £30 a game to pay for all these signings although if its a winning team after all these years it'll be well worth it 1 2

But what a massive signing and squad this is can’t remember last time I’ve been so excited for the season. Will be interesting now how the season tickets sales go with how much board has invested in the squad. Be the first time I’ve bought one in a few year anyway. 3

It's only to give a broad guide anyway. 1 With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!
ManchesterYed Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Who will play loose forward Taylor or Flanagan ?
chiefgeneral Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Taylor has great hands and perfect for loose forward. Really good options that complement each other. Whittel the grafter tackling machine and Taylor with the great hands 1
Rob95 Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Woohoo a former Wests Tigers player got my jersey at the ready . It's going to be a weird feeling for us this with all of the long suffering past , I know sport's a funny thing and I don't in any way mean to be disrespectful to any other team in the league but we really should walk the league with this squad . I worry about the lack of money situation in rugby league and therefore the future of the game outside the Super League , maybe this is controversial but we might be one of the clubs where IMG works in our favour . We know what we need to do get a grade B then high grade B then grade A , Wakey seem to be optimistic about this and so why not us . The main optimism for IMG is their belief that Super League could expand to 14 teams so they would have to spread TV money out between 14 not just the 12 . 1

Happyed Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Fordy says we have a squad of 28 so one last addition. What are we hoping for?
FailsworthYed Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Maybe another fullback I think as we've only got one in that position, well as a specialist anyway

Perhaps they'll be the last signing unveiled at the forum on Tuesday. I think we're pretty well covered everywhere really

Dave Naylor Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 I reckon the majority of signings have been leaked prior to being officially announced. So when someone goes "Fred Bloggs", it's probably going to be Fred Bloggs.
Oldham 1 Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Are the Chaplehows Siamese twins? Just they always play at the same club 3

sb01 Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 I have heard from a source close to the club that signing number 28 is going to be Fred Bloggs.

Love the fact that he’s backing himself but also the fact that players clearly want to be part of what’s happening at Oldham. Good luck to him, looked very useful down the road last year. 4
m brooksy Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 He was fantastic in the away game against us. Reminds me of Lippy in his stature and style of play making loads of carries and busting plenty of tackles. 1
Anita Bath Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Blimey, turning down our contract offer is one thing but going over to the noisy neighbours is something altogether unforgivable. Good luck to the lad….apart from when he faces the mighty hornets. 2
