2024 attendance thread

Yeah think a new attendance thread needs to be created. I’m not sure why those who have detailed the thread couldn’t have just said all this on the IMG one??

I tried and took it to there, but when questions and statements keep appearing they get answered, it is no different to any conversation anywhere, none stay on the straight and narrow they all wonder off into another direction.

It just seems a bit pointless having two threads discussing the exact same thing

As I said JM, I tried to take it to the IMG thread at 08:50  - or close to - yesterday morning with :-

"Considering you mention IMG Trojan so as not to hijack this thread I will answer you on the IMG thread"

Since then there has been nearly 5 pages mostly referring to IMG on this thread, as I say it isn't hard to divert a conversation, and especially so on this subject with feelings for both sides being as they are. Someone says something and it either gets scorned or agreed with and off we go again.

What utter nonsense, at no point has there been any claim for less clubs, and as for no idea what will happen, they have a fully justified document showing exactly what they are aiming for, go read it.

Read it and weep❗

Because it’s fact. Do I think that companies repeat ways of working that have proven to be successful for them? Of course they do. After initially signing a pretty identical contract with European Basketball, they went on to make significant profits from franchising, so seems logical for them to think they could do the same with RL.

So you really believe they've just went "well it worked for a completely different sport, lets just do the exact same thing again"?

Absolute ######.

Sorry but in the opening topic it’s to discuss attendence related subjects. My posts have been exactly that as there is an element of IMG criteria that relates to attendence/fandom. There’s also a discussion on how this impacts attendance. This is what I was discussing and stand by that as correct within the theme of the post.

There is no derailing and it’s relevant in my eyes to the attendance theme. Its inevitable your going to get reference to IMG as some fans believe it has effects on the attendances either negative or positive and becomes relevant as a point of debate.

If other people have discussed other parts of IMG criteria that doesn’t relate to attendance in any way then that’s on them.

If a moderator decides it’s not relevant to attendance discussion in any way then they can move posts and offer direction to me personally or otherwise.

I wasn't blaming anything on you Trojan, I was just moving our conversation to the IMG thread, as you say it's inevitable we will get references to IMG in a whole host of discussions that is just the nature of the subject.

Wrong thread Harry.

Anyone know last nights attendance?

Just over 13,000 with about 1,800 from Leigh at a guess

Not bad for a Tuesday game that honestly felt like there was zero buzz about, no doubt because we had the same fixture only a few weeks ago

Thanks. Still a decent crowd for a Tuesday night.

No problem, I don’t have an issue with anyone or discussing even if opinions are different from mine. Happy to chat here or wherever.

I’m sure we will talk on the IMG thread too.

From the ticketing, it looks like movement within the ground is very restricted. The West Stand is allocated seats only, the East is unreserved in the lower tier, but for example it states you cannot move from the North East Corner to the North Stand??

I can't think of much worse than Elland Road with this setup. It's a really cramped ground anyway, and trying to move around with a large unreserved seating crowd just sounds awful.

They appear to have kept it based in individual stands so the movement isn't actually that much.

That said I have zero faith in this being a good "event". We'll see if they use Lowfields road and the area around it as a fanzone.

We'll see whether that makes it better or worse, but 3/4 of the stadium is unreserved seating, and that could be a challenge. We've never played in a ground with the crowd so close to capacity, and even where we have played it has been problematic at times.

Do we believe this?

I believe Warrington may believe they are close to selling out their allocation.

Look at the lower bowl at Elland Road vs a) previous magic weekend attendances and b) Leeds also being at home effectively.

Won't take all thay much to sell as much as they can for non assigned seating

With the teams there on the Saturday, if they can't sell out a ground with a capacity of less than 40k for a showpiece event, the RFL need to take a long look at themselves.

A microcosm of an RL fan right here....

11,050 at Saints last night…..or so they say, where i stand the crowd was sparse. The people i know who are staying away have zero incentive to turn up and pay £26 whilst wellens and his motley crew are in charge. The Salford’s vocal support was loud as always.
I didn’t shout or sing backing Saints i couldn’t be arsed, there isn’t much to get excited about.
