It's a very poor stadium with a leaking roof, tiny seats and leg room, very poor concessions, grimey cramped concourse....it's a horror show

None of which point to it ‘falling down’. It may be ageing (the last major infrastructure works is 18 years old) but let’s not fall into the hype that it is a crumbling ruin.

It gets a safety certificate to hold 70,000 plus, so obviously okay, and no-one attending the GF will be taking a risk with their lives.

Apart from any players who find themselves sliding towards the 6ft drop behind the goal lines at either end of the field.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Just because it happens at other stadiums doesn't give excuses for Old Trafford. There's a reason why they are looking to knock it down and build a new stadium.

Ok the stands are not falling down ....it is however

- very dated

-Poorly laid out

-tiny seats

- truly abysmal sight lines from a big number of seats

-rust/paint peeling everywhere

- the roof leaks

I'd say all these point to very poor / cheap maintenance ......ultimately if it carries on then bits will fall down

It is essentially a giant Wheldon Road but without any likeable fans

OT is way passed its sell by date its an over priced toilet.

And as for the food would not feed it to my dogs and hygine I'd hate to see the kitchens on match day.

Spurs Arsenal way ahead of anyone

Manchester United must have saved massive amounts of money in debt/ spending compared to Spurs/Arsenal ....assume the Glazers just pocketed it instead of investing it in infrastructure like the London clubs

NRL averages drop below 20k to 19,423.

It's hard to hold the average through a season that is too long IMO. Both RL pro comps could do with being shorter but the money made from more games is too hard to resist. The NFL run an 18 week regular season with a bye for each team. To keep public interest high through the season and not over tax players in a tough contact sport, that sounds about right. That's the most they have ever played in a season too.

It takes wisdom to know when a discussion has run its course.

It takes reasonableness to end that discussion.

I don’t think a 24 game regular season is too long. Premier league is 40, NBL and NHL is 80 odd, then there’s MLB.

Im not calling for more games, but what we have now isn’t saturation. Personally, I think SOO has an effect on the crowds and momentum in the club game subsides.

NRL have never averaged 20k+ over a regular season. They are very close, but need some bigger turnouts to make up for the smaller stadiums. Brisbane being as poor as they are will not help the cause of reaching 20k.
