Its a daft suggestion, I know, but it might be that the Olympics being on TV might have  had a negative impact on recent attendances.

It depends on the club. For Leeds Friday night is the best by far, clearly financially and also for crowd size. Other clubs are different.

It's clear from this season fans prefer Sundays

Is it??

All Wakey's biggest crowds this year are Friday night games aren't they?

Is this because it avoids any clash usually with the football, weekend sport/chores/commitments and Leeds United?

So many young fans at Sunday games but Friday night games are too late for my kids and nephews so there’s future fans lost and less on the day. Can imagine a lot of people don’t take their young ones to Friday night games.

Seeing Trinity run out on Sundays in the blistering heat has been very good and I hope we can continue playing Sundays in SL next season (hopefully).

The odd Friday night is okay but Sundays is where it’s at. Always used to be Sundays in the past too.

Not for Leeds - Fridays are the best time for the games. Much bigger corporate support and Headingley is just ‘better on a Friday night, weve had too many Saturday games recently.

Personally im not a big fan of Sunday home games.

It’s different for clubs for sure.

I think the general consensus for Trinity is quite split tbh. Every time it’s discussed there’s a good number from Friday and Sunday.

I think to grow support it’s important to have some daytime games as there have been a good amount of young fans on Sundays and these are the next generation afterall. I’m talking age group of 2-8 or so. 8pm kick off is just too late.

A mixture may be a good idea between Friday/Sunday. Your looking at short/long turn around though and like someone said habits and consistency is important.

It's better for the corporate market, which is huge at Leeds.

I think a more historical factor for Leeds choosing Friday as early as they did was that it meant that fewer games were moved around for TV (Leeds being one of the more frequently televised sides).

There is no consensus to be drawn from the social media channel discussions - in fact I'd say the Wakefield "Sunday group" is bigger in the "debates".

However, there are far more bums on seats for their Friday night fixtures.

Very impressive 8,400 for Leigh’s only Home Sunday game of the season yesterday.

Not bad for a club some think bring nothing to SL!

4821 at Wakefield v Sheffield on Friday night which I thought was a bit of a let down.

Thought Wakey had sold 5500 season tickets or is that just a load of baloney? 😩

Nowt to do with STs - only the actual attendance is counted and reported at Wakey (we're not Cas Snowy).

It's a game in the middle of the summer holidays, where the opposition sold less than 30 tickets.

We'd want 6k+ every game, of course, but I'm sure Matt Ellis knows where the business is.

Agree....Friday nights such a great start to the weekend so the crowd tends to be up for it ....not always great for kids but....

I don't mind the odd Saturday/sunday game as its a point of difference but we've had too many this year - we haven't had a Friday home game since 21st June

Oldham now taking bookings for a 4th supporters coach for this Sunday’s game at Keighley. An Oldham win would secure the title and automatic promotion to the Championship for 2025. Should be a good crowd.

Yes, but remember Catalans bring so much to SL.

It probably makes it a better attendance for Catalans, as they don't bring any away fans, and Warrington did.

Clearly the neutrals/home fans preferred watching London v Catalans.

Attendance was 3,500 or so
