All 3 tests in Riyadh and every single interview must start by thanking 'his excellency' for the amazing opportunity his love of Rugby League has brought around. We then have to talk about how he watches all rugby league and has an in-depth knowledge and his favourite player is Luke Hooley, who must start and captain the side in all tests.

All the players can come out holding hands with Turki in the middle.

(Won't look awkward at all...)

All before outlining his vision for Saudi Arabia to host the 2034 RL World Cup to coincide with them hosting the FIFA World Cup.

I was at Wembley for AJ v Dubois last month, it was a surreal moment when they fired up the Saudi national anthem.

Is it worth bring back the combined nations game mid season and holding it somewhere like Brentfords ground or Wimbledon to spread the word of a London test?

I wouldn’t open my curtains if England were playing the combined nations in my garden.

I've been looking at google earth and your garden isn't the full 100m (not including in-goals), so you're safe Eddie...

And not enough car parking spaces (or whatever they supposedly docked Widnes a point for).

There’s more room behind the sticks than at Old Trafford tbf.

Was quite funny when they fired it up and it just got booed.

As an event thought it was probably the best boxing event I’ve ever been too.

I'm also going to assume that Vegas is proving to be a millstone and not a money spinner.

Geez you`re a miserable git. They`ve sold over 30 000 seats already, weren`t at this number until the end of January 2024 for the first Vegas venture. Given what they learnt last year from where the American sales were made expect them to leverage that information to increase that area of sales as well. A recent visitor to Vegas reported that the big screen at the front of Allegiant was running NRL Las Vegas adverts on loop.

BTW over $500 000 in corporates alone so far.

Notable that the Kangaroos don't currently have a naming sponsor.

Wrong again, multinational Korean car company Kia are the new front of shirt sponsor.

If you didn`t have such a jaundiced view of things you may have noticed that under the current NRL administration nothing is off the table, anything that is a possible revenue stream will be pursued. Abdo was even saying last week the commission are looking to find a permanent spot on the calendar for the WCC so that we don`t have the situation we have this year.

In a radio interview recently V`Landys was asked about when he might step away, his response was that Rugby League in this country had been close a couple of times to being the impregnable financial and sporting juggernaut it should be, he wasn`t leaving until that was achieved this time.

They're not the Kia Kangaroos though. They were the Gallagher Kangaroos. I just said it's a notable change. I wasn't talking about the front of shirt.

Vegas was going to be a $10m a year investment - going on the figures reported. The financial return to come through betting rights and TV rights. The kind of betting rights the NRL were after don't exist outside of Australia. I understand there's been improvement on the TV rights but is that enough?

I've also said that on the terms of boosting the NRL for NRL supporters and casual fans it has been a success - and in terms of being a decent event it's been that too.

Lastly, though, if you'd bothered to change your V'landys underpants for a moment, you'd have seen that the essential point is the one you're flourishing so triumphantly: something must have shifted in thinking and detail to make this an attractive financial proposition because the NRL's primary goal currently is financial growth.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Was also there, an amazing event. Shows what can be possible as even if the boxing had been rubbish you’d have walked away having had a great time.

In light of the RFL announcing that one of the ashes tests next year will be played in London next year. Would Twickenham be a good option? Did any posters on here go to any of the challenge cup finals or the England World Cup game in 2000? What was your experience?

This is an outright 'no' from me. If we're using a stadium that large, it should be Wembley. Personally I think a London Ashes Test next year should be looking at somewhere like the Emirates.

Also, why start a new thread for this? We already have two discussing next year's internationals, this fits in fine with the stadium discussions already going on in 'England v Australia 2025'.

It's not the worst idea in the world. Anyone who's been to a London rugby league international knows how many England RU shirts you see - the average southern union fan isn't as blinkered as the blazers and old f*rts who run things. So holding our top game the game at Twickers does expose us more to that potential fan base, especially those who find it hard to get England union tickets.
