They've been asked quite a bit on the socials and just said it isn't being. There doesn't seem to be a reason.

Hoping to encourage folk to go, I think.

You'd think they could charge a fiver and add that on for the causes.

Indeed - I think it makes sense to do it the way they're doing it.

Less production costs, webhosting costs, lost revenue from people who would've gone if it hadn't been streamed.  I don't have any figures to back up my opinion but I'm not convinced streaming makes as much sense as folk claim.

I mean Our league and the Sportsmen have streamed some very low level / unenticing games.....surely they could stream this

I mean no one down here is going to spend the cost of travel and time to go to Headingly for this but plenty would have shelled out a tenner to charity to stream it....if nothing else the slightest chance of seeing Cipriani get levelled would have me paying .....i know at least a handful of people down here personally who would have paid for it

How many might have streamed? Maybe 6-7000 at say £7?..... Can't imagine the loss in ticket sales and production cost would be anywhere near that money ....if Sportsmen can stream St. Pats vs Ince Rose Bridge and make it work financially surely this can

A real shame.....a chance to make money nationally AND drum up some fun/interest and charity money  in both codes has been lost

To comply with forum rules please only discuss one of the teams, and one half of the pitch.

I'm sorry but the mere suggestion of the other code is unacceptable. Mods please move this to cross code.

I'd have thought nearer six than 7000.

No idea - you may well be right for all I know.  But, nevertheless, the organisers didn't consider it worth doing.

Well hopefully there will be some highlights

I know the main focus is charity but it will be fascinating to see how the ruck works in practice....and the 5 m line

I think I'll have half an ear on the commentary:

Is it one of those league on half Union the other type games? I went to the Saints v Sale one years ago, the union half was a disgrace, Sale just kept it in them group hug things they do, so tedious.

Now this is what is wrong with the world as look how much money the circus of Jake Paul's latest sparring exhibition made and then you this 745 game played by proper ex athletes ON BOTH SIDES for a great causes is and yet doesn't seem much hype about it yet deserves the fortunes of Jake Paul carry on's 😞

I understand that it is unlimited tackles in your own half, and 6 tackles in the opponents half. No line outs or contested scrums. 5 points for a try. 2 points for a drop goal. Not sure about anything else.

Thanks for sharing. A shame the sound quality is poor. It is painful to listen to with the crowd so loud and commentary so quiet.

Think you can rip the ball in more than a one on one tackle? And you have to release the player as soon as you hit the ground rather than called held .....

I thought it was fine, nice to hear the crowd roar as the League boys scored. Sounds like it was a really fun event and looking forward to seeing the highlights, Danny Mags went over for a couple of tries, Matt Diskin went off injured and Barry Mac got sent off so some things never change.
